Momoe Sawaki

Appearance

Her skin is pale. She is a tall, slim girl. Her hair is short, reddish brown and combed to the left side, just into bangs that part on the right side of her head, revealing her forehead. She has both eyes dark green. On her left cheek she has a small mole, which resembles that of her uncle Shuichiro Sawaki. She is usually seen wearing an oversized navy blue sweater over a cream white button-down dress shirt; along with baggy beige pants, navy blue socks, and burgundy loafers.

Personality

Momoe is a kind and polite girl, well-liked by many she meets and often acts selflessly for the sake of other people. She has a strong sense of justice and seems to care deeply for those she trusts or considers close to her, sometimes even becoming angry or upset when they are unfairly accused of something, as seen when she defends her uncle from Rika Kawai's suggestion that he may have gotten a student pregnant. Momoe is also seen to be quite perceptive and seems to act as a buffer for people like Rika. Momoe is very insecure about herself, particularly her androgynous appearance: she cries when she looks at her reflection and gets angry when a Wonder Killer calls her a man. It is one of her main complexes, she suffered from being often considered a boy for a long time. In this aspect, many girls she meets say that they fall in love with her because of her masculine charm, which seems to worry Momoe a lot, as she does not want to be perceived as a boy and believes that she is "deceiving" these girls, tricking them with her appearance. Despite all this, her own sexuality remains fairly ambiguous. On one hand, the plot hinted several times that she was attracted to men, but on the other, she was somewhat embarrassed by the idea that another girl could love her as a girl, and seemed to imply that she wasn't disgusted by other girls' interest at this point - what bothers her the most is girls seeing Momoe as a boy, but this is contradicted as Kaoru Kurita also thought she was a boy, but when he corrected himself, Momoe started showing interest in him. This ambiguity is highlighted during her meeting with Kaoru Kurita, a trans boy who claims he has fallen in love with Momoe despite him knowing she's a girl, even going so far as to kiss her. Kaoru is the first Wonder Egg character whom she didn't reject advances from, though she might have been too embarrassed to do so.
