Appearance:

He is a man of average height, with light skin and gray eyes. He has a sharp look and no eyebrows, his hair color is a warm gray which he keeps short. He has his bangs divided parallel to his forehead into two thick strands, one in the center and the other on the left side of his head. One of Sanemi's most prominent features is his remarkable physique and the numerous scars that mark his face, chest and arms which he does not hide and maintains as a reminder of how hard his job is of which he feels proud. . Regarding his clothing, this consists of the Demon Hunters' uniform, in his case being a personalized version of his uniform which is black dyed green, having the upper part of it unbuttoned, exhibiting his torso and his multiple scars. He also has a white jacket, as well as keeps his Nichirin sword on his belt. The latter in turn holds his Hakama which remains attached to each of his ankles thanks to two pairs of thick straps. Later between the arcs of the Functional Recovery Training Arc and the Pillar Training Arc, Sanemi cut his hair, leaving only the center bangs.

Breathing:

Wind Breathing is a breathing style that emulates the wind, particularly powerful torrents of air and whirlwinds, replicating these phenomena through the user's movements, techniques, and skills. Most, if not all, of the known techniques and forms focus on purely offensive attacks, many of which employ rapid spinning movements to generate swift, whirlwind-like slashes, greatly extending the wielder's attack range. Additionally, they utilize the surrounding air to launch sickle-shaped slashing attacks and gale-force winds. Practitioners of Wind Breathing visualize themselves as if they are creating and manipulating the wind when unleashing their techniques. This breathing style bears similarities to real-life swordsmanship known as Jigen-ryū, a basic approach to Japanese swordsmanship that emphasizes the importance of the initial strike and elevated stances. Wind Breathing was developed from one of Yoriichi Tsugikuni's students, who attempted to learn Sun Breathing. However, due to their lower innate power compared to Yoriichi, they were taught an alternative, customized breathing style, which focused on their individual strengths and weaknesses, and eventually evolved into Wind Breathing.

First Stance: Dust Whirlwind (壱いちノ型かた 鹿じん旋せん風ぷう・削そぎ, Ichi no kata: Jin Senpū - Sogi?) - The user moves at astonishing speed, executing continuous slashes in a horizontal cyclonic pattern. Second stance: Purifying Wind Claws (弐にノ型かた 爪そう々そう・科しな戸と風かぜ, Ni no kata: Sōsō - Shinato Kaze?) - The user raises the sword to the right, above his head, and simultaneously performs four vertical slashes downward, resembling claws as they descend upon the enemy. Third Stance: Storm-Swinging Tree (参さんノ型かた 晴せい嵐らん風ふう樹じゅ, San no kata: Seiran Fūju?) - The user generates a whirlwind of slashes around themselves, allowing them to defend against incoming attacks and shatter their surroundings. Fourth Stance: Rising Dust Storm (肆しノ型かた 昇しょう上じょう砂さ塵じん嵐らん, Shi no kata: Shōjō Sajinran?) - The user launches multiple whirlwind-like slashes from a low stance, heading upwards, above their target. Fifth Stance: Winter Gale (伍ごノ型かた 木こ枯がらし颪おろし, Go no kata: Kogarashi Oroshi?) - The user creates several circular, arcing slashes that increase in size from an elevated position above their target.

Postures 2:

Sixth Stance: Black Smoke Storm (陸ろくノ型かた黒こく風ふう烟えん嵐らん, Roku no kata: Kokufū Enran?) - The user rotates his body in an uppercut movement, producing an arcing slash. Seventh stance: Gale - Sudden Gust (漆しちノ型かた 頸けい風ふう・天てん狗ぐ風かぜ, Shichi no kata: Keifū - Tengu Kaze?) - The user leaps into the air while swinging his sword, causing him to which generates hurricane-force winds that devastate its opponent. Eighth stance: First Gale Slash (捌はちノ型かた 初しょ烈れっ風かざ斬きり, Hachi no kata: Sho Rekkaza Kiri?) - The user leaps into the air and swings his sword, generating circular torrents of wind that instantly cut their opponent. Ninth stance: Dangerous Typhoon (玖くノ型かた 韋い駄だ天てん台たい風ふう, Ku no kata: Idaten Taifū?) - The user performs a backflip in the air and, while upside down, unleashes a powerful gust of circular wind that cuts through everything in its path.
