You won't become a creepy, spineless demon just by drinking blood... So just drink it." Krul, or Kururu Tepes (Japanese: クルル・ツェペシ, Kururu Tsepeshi) is the Third Ancestor of all vampire society. The object of Ferid's affections, and also a lover of small children.

Personality Like all other vampires, he views humans as nothing more than cattle. Sees them as usually endlessly greedy creatures who will do anything for their own gain. When Ferid Bathory killed the orphans of the Hakuya Orphanage, she carefully hid them in Sanguinem. Becomes furious because he fatally wounded one of the Seraphim and allowed another to escape. He never mentions a word about the orphans or shows any interest in them. Saves Mikaela's life against his will, turning him into a vampire. He refuses to drink human blood, so he gives his blood to him, causing him to become dependent on him. Even so, he is the only vampire who shows kindness to him, and there are several moments where he hugs him or treats him calmly. After developing a close bond with Mika, she shows concern for Yuichiro Hakuya. However, it is unclear whether this is due to his close bond with Mika and his concern for him, or because he wants to use the Seraph for his own purposes. Krul holds many secrets, including what he knows from the "Seraph of the End", and he lies to the Progenitor Council about his criminal activities. Like most vampires, he is proud. As the Third Progenitor and Queen of Japan, he has every reason to be powerful. When Third Progenitor Lest Carr challenges her position as the ruler of Japan, she becomes angry and claims that she is never wrong. He is temperamental when challenged and does not hesitate to remind his challenger of his place. However, Ferid Bathory blackmails him into keeping his temper in check and preventing herself from killing him. He is the only character in the series so far who appears to have enjoyed being bitten.

Abilities and weapons Main article: Vampires Krul Tepes was turned by the First Vampire and is therefore the Third Founder. This status gives him enormous physical and political power. As a vampire, Krul possesses immortality, unchangeable appearance, high strength, agility, speed, as well as heightened senses of sight, hearing, and smell. Krul's indicators are many times greater than those of a human, and he also surpasses the parameters of all vampires and Founders whose status is lower than the Third. Only the power of the First, Urd, Rig, Lest (partially) and Ashura (possibly) surpasses the power of Krul Tepes. As the Third Founder, Krul has political power over most of the Japanese islands and has the right to sit on the Founders' Council. He also has the power to turn humans into vampires due to his status. Vampires turned by Krul's blood have the potential of the Eighth to Ninth Founders. The only two vampires known to have been turned by Krul are Mikaela Hakuya and Mahiru Hiiragi. Weapon Main article: Vampire weapon Krul has a weapon in the form of a bat named Arcane.

Interesting facts The name "Krul" comes from a surname of Polish origin meaning "king". The surname Krul is taken from Vlad Tepes, a cruel Romanian ruler better known as Count Dracula. In reality, "Tepes" comes from the Romanian word for "stake" In the popularity top, Krul took 6th place, scoring 1275 points. Mika is Krul's favorite among the Sanguinem vampires. According to fanbook 108: Rumors about Krul: Krul likes to pretend to be asleep. His favorite place to nap is the hammock. It is a quiet place where no one will disturb him. Krul likes to lie in the hammock and feel at home in it. The Vampire Queen feels very lonely. She lost the meaning of her existence in the past, which is not surprising at all.
