Appearance

Rei is a middle-aged woman with an average height and build. She has shoulder-length straight white hair with a fairly long fringe over her face. Her face has round features, with soft expressions in casual situations. Her tired-looking eyes are grayish-brown with reasonably long eyelashes. Rei has been shown to have shorter hair and lighter eyes in the past. Rei wears a variety of civilian clothes and prefers solid colors and prints, such as a yellow sweater and an orange T-shirt.

He possesses the Quirk "Freeze", which allows him to generate ice. This Quirk is very powerful, as it impressed Enji Todoroki enough to want an offspring with a combination of this Quirk and his own. Users of this quirk are sensitive to heat and prefer cooler weather.

Personality

In the past, when she first met Enji, she was someone cold and distant, but she decided to accept the arranged marriage with Enji for the sake of her family and lineage. She also supported her husband in his plan to have more children so that Toya would not demand too much of himself and could have a normal life. She is kind, caring and loving towards her children and in return, they loved her deeply. She tends to care and worry a lot about all of them, like when she asked Toya not to train so much or when she defended Shoto to stop the brutal training he was subjected to by Enji. However, the constant abuse she received from her husband made her mentally unstable, to the point that one day she broke down emotionally upon seeing Shoto's left side, which reminded her of Enji, so she threw boiling water from a kettle at her son's face, burning the left side of his face. After staying in a psychiatric ward and away from her husband, Rei has been shown to have regressed into her past, taking care of herself. Upon meeting her son again, she apologized with a smile while shedding some tears, restoring the relationship between them. She also receives visits from her other children, Natsuo and Fuyumi, and seems to receive small gifts from her husband, though they have yet to meet face to face, due to her fear of him. Despite her kind nature, Rei is surprisingly tenacious. Due to her recovery and regaining her sanity, Rei has proven to be a forgiving and understanding woman.
