Neil is a short, average-sized young man. His hair is red and his eyes are a shade of blue. He looks so much like his father that he can't even look at his reflection without feeling sick. 19 years old. EXI'S CHARACTERISTIC TEAM: Foxes Dingo (former) Allan's Ravens (temporary) POSITION: Forward. Full name: Neil Abram Josten. Exhausted by life on the run, Neil is forced to adapt to his team. With similarly scarred teammates and his sudden emergence into the spotlight, he finds himself conflicted with his desire to remain hidden and alone. Neil has extensive scars on his body, resulting from abuse and injuries inflicted on him by his father and from his life on the run. By the end of the trilogy, he has additional scars, as well as burn marks on his left cheekbone and arms. His wardrobe consists mostly of worn, basic items. He has no particular sense of style, valuing practicality above all else, choosing clothes based on their ability to hide his scars and make him invisible in a crowd, becoming a "gray shadow". Neil distrusts middle-aged men because they remind him of his father, whom he fears. Neil does not trust other people. He does not accept their offers of help and tries to solve every problem on his own, which makes him withdrawn and secretive. Neil also tries to control the situation all the time. Neil is almost as obsessed with Exie. Neil has a key to the Foxes stadium. Sometimes he goes to the library to use the computer. He is good at picking locks. Neil does not like sweets and prefers fruits or vegetables. Neil sometimes smokes, but more often he lights a cigarette and lets it burn out on its own. The smell of smoke reminds him of his mother, which is both comforting and painful.
