Personality

Of all the SMP members, Phil is the most paternal, and is considered an authority figure despite not holding any official titles in any country. Despite being only the father of Wilbur, Tubbo, and Tommy, most members view him in a parental light for his habit of treating the server members like his own children, scolding them for misbehavior as he sees fit. He is stoic and hardworking, taking care of everyday tasks such as filling craters and repairing tracks. He appears to be a mostly peaceful figure, avoiding battles with any members. Phil is a serious man, wise and does not hesitate to discipline his children if they break rules or generally cause trouble. He is easily enraged by their chaos, like a tired but kind father, and does not hesitate to back down from them and let them deal with their own consequences if they continue to act out despite his intervention and warning. He is seen as a role model for his children to look up to. In his small family, he seems to be the only one with common sense. This influence may have rubbed off on Wilbur before his madness. From a moral standpoint, it was initially unclear what position Phil took, being neutral on the concept of democracy and quite guarding his inner thoughts and beliefs when he worked with others.

History

Philza referenced his time in SMPEarth on the server. He was one of the leaders of the Antarctic Empire along with Techno and helped him take over the entire server. To what extent this is canon is a question. Since that time he has met many people and seen many fantastic things, one of which may have been a method of resurrecting people from the dead. His only remaining life by default, as confirmed by Word of God, implies the presence of his famous hardcore world between these two timelines in canon. Ghostbur also mentioned that Phil once killed a dragon when he read the DreamSMP story and looked into Philza's past. Joining Dream SMP Shortly before Philza joined him, he was in his hardcore world while talking to Wilbur, who was about to press a button. Philza tried to comfort Wilbur and stop him from pressing it. When he failed, Phil then tapped into the SMP to physically stop Wilbur from pressing the button. Wilbur, however, pushed him and then told Philza to kill him, which he did with great reluctance. shortly after the war Phil helped Technoblade kill GeorgeNotFound and brought Tommy back to being DEFINITELY NOT PE-,, :smile: reconstruction During the Reconstruction Era, Philza decided to help L'Manberg rebuild their nation, and also joined them to help complete the Guardian XP Farm project. However, he stated that he remains neutral, not wanting to officially choose a side. Despite this, Tubbo gave Philza a small plot of land near Tommy L'Manbergian's house. A few days after the war, Phil went mining near Technoblade's old base to get supplies. He was interrupted by Fundy, who wanted to trade coal for Karl the polar bear. This led to a small auction, where Fundy tried to scam an empty chest of ore and materials.

Philza, also known as Phil, is the twenty-fifth member of the Dream SMP, joining on November 16, 2020, counting the Mexican Dream making him the twenty-sixth member. He is a former resident of L'Manberg and a member of the Syndicate. He is the father of Wilbur Sout and the grandfather of Fundy. Although Phil has helped L'Manberg on numerous occasions, he does not support the government. He first joined the server in an attempt to stop Wilbur from destroying L'Manberg during the Manberg vs. Pogtopia War. He was unable to stop Wilbur, but helped kill the Withers during the battle and accepted Tubbo's request to help rebuild and live in L'Manberg afterward. However, while living in L'Manberg, he disagreed with the government's actions and often visited his longtime friend Technoblade, an enemy of L'Manberg. He also turned against the government after the Butcher Army placed him under house arrest and attempted to execute Techno. As a result, after Techno released him from house arrest, Phil moved in with him. Phil fought alongside Techno and Dream in the Doomsday War, which he hoped would "send a message" to the people of L'Manberg. He directly contributed to the destruction of L'Manberg by giving birth to the Withers. Phil is currently a member of the Syndicate, an organization created by Techno that aims to keep the server in an anarchist state and eliminate any government threat.
