Description.

Lacey is the main character and protagonist of the Lacey Games series. Her main appearance was in Lacey's Wardrobe, where we had to dress the protagonist in the purest style of the flash games of the 2000s. The premise of said games connects to an unknown user who played Lacey's Wardrobe, a lost Flash game from 2006 that requires you to choose outfits for Lacey, the main character of the series, as she goes about her daily activities, the game starts to get more and more chilling, taking sensitive topics such as abuse, kidnapping, mistreatment and harassment behind a simple and innocent flash game. Some time later, Lacey Games began releasing various flash games that at first seem simple and innocent, but little by little they begin to reveal truly creepy undertones. Lacey Wardrobe is a psychological horror game where our protagonist Lacey is constantly being eaten by the Stalker, a deranged fanatic of hers who wishes to eat her in order to "be together forever." In the end, it is revealed that Lacey is trapped in the game, in an endless cycle where she suffers the same cruel fates in a horrendous nightmare. It will be the player's choice to close the game at that point to free her or condemn her there forever. Lacey usually speaks directly to the player on two occasions.

Appearance.

Lacey is depicted in the game as a charismatic and attractive girl. She bears a slight resemblance to Hatsune Miku and has a twisted, simple, and childish drawing style. Lacey has greyish pink skin with a very thin and pale body which is due to nerves, trauma, and malnutrition. She has small breasts and a pointed chin with a somewhat square face. She has a red blush with a black line on her cheeks and greyish lines on some parts of her face. She always wears a triangular, childlike smile with the inside of her mouth being red. Her eyes are completely white and have large eyeliners. Said eyes are completely white with dry, white pupils as well, presumably from trauma. Her classic hairstyle reaches down to her shoulders with two pigtails and two black hairpins. All of her hair is a greenish-blue color. Her underwear consists of a yellow bra with panties of the same color. Lacey has a variety of outfits, but her most common outfit is a brown plaid cropped shirt, orange pants with a grey belt, a green purse, and a black necklace.

Personality.

Lacey is shown in-game to be a kind, social, and amphibious girl. She has many admirers and friends and is very open to many professions, showing that she is also a talented and charismatic girl. She usually spends time with her admirers and takes many important interests seriously. She is also shown to be very passionate about fashion and music which she listens to on her MP5 player. Lacey's true story or if she has any real story at all is unknown. It can be assumed that she had multiple careers, such as a chef, veterinarian, rock star, etc., and ran several businesses. It is also implied that she ran some of her businesses with her friends. At first glance, Lacey is seen to be a loving and optimistic girl, but very weak and helpless, and even idiotic, but slowly she begins to show a much darker tone regarding the mental problems within Lacey. When under pressure, she acts aggressively and gets frustrated by her clients' impatience, and as the stalker kept staring at her, she reacts in fear and begs the player not to let her out once he finishes dressing her. Due to her traumatic upbringing as a victim of sexual abuse, Lacey possesses insanity and would have frequent episodic breakdowns due to the stress that caught up with her. Despite being kind and well-educated, Lacey is at heart a depressed and traumatized girl who has suffered a series of abuses at the hands of her uncle, and the only thing that kept her going was her dog Puddles, whom she referred to as her "angel". She has also died in horrendous ways at the hands of the stalker who is obsessed with her, as well as having committed suicide once. Her mental problems and the cruel and hostile environment that surrounds her caused her to commit many crimes, such as animal abuse, cannibalism, avunculicide, mutilation and attempted poisoning. Puddles' death was the straw that broke the camel's back and turned Lacey into the mentally unstable girl she is today.

Despite being kind and well-educated, Lacey is at heart a depressed and traumatized girl who has suffered a series of abuses at the hands of her uncle, with the only thing that kept her going being her dog Puddles, whom she referred to as her "angel". She has also died in horrendous ways at the hands of the stalker who is obsessed with her, as well as having committed suicide once. Her mental issues and the very cruel and hostile environment that surrounds her caused her to commit many crimes, such as animal abuse, cannibalism, avunculicide, mutilation, and attempted poisoning. Puddles' death was the final straw that turned Lacey into the mentally unstable girl she is today. Her mentally affected outlook leads her to commit a variety of crimes, sometimes not entirely of her own accord, as best demonstrated when she hesitated to mutilate and abuse the pets she offered to her clients. Lacey is ultimately a tragic figure who is trapped in a cycle of abuse with no hope of escape when the odds are completely stacked against her. Lacey is also seen acting in childish ways in the appearance of her other games, which all take on dark and scary themes at once, such as turning everything red, appearing and disappearing due to glitches in the game, and generating overly scary and distorted images. Even in one of the bad endings of Lacey's Restaurant, the restaurant can be seen turning red in horrifying ways, as it is theorized that she began serving her uncle's meat to her hideous customers with realistic faces, causing her restaurant to be closed down. After this, Lacey can be seen depressed and smoking, and later her corpse dumped in an alley after ending the light of her own existence.

History.

√ Lacey Games started out as an unfinished, free-to-play Flash game back in 2006, and despite looking like just another run-of-the-mill children's game, it ended up telling a very painful and terrifying story of trauma. It is, in a nutshell, an analog horror game. • Origin on the Internet. It all started with a girl named "Ghosttundra", who posted a peculiar video called "Lacey's Wardrobe - Lost 2006 Flash Game" on October 10, 2002, where she put Lacey as the protagonist, a young girl with a pretty design for her time. The game stood out from the crowd due to its simple, yet scary and sad premise. • Lacey's Wardrobe (2006) "Lacey has a very busy day. In the morning, she'll attend a picnic in the park, then in the afternoon, she has to go shopping, and then she'll have a date tonight with the cutest guy! Phew! But there's just one tiny problem: She has no idea what to wear! Could you help her create her favorite outfits for each situation?" After that description, Lacey is given the option to dress up in various ways in order to take her on her date. After choosing any outfit, Lacey is seen in a realistic background at a picnic, while in the distance, a tired and disturbing face is seen looking from afar, who says in a weird red text; "I love you, Lacey." Then, we'll have to dress Lacey in the afternoon's clothes so Lacey can go shopping, but suddenly, a call from her stalker is heard saying the following; "Lacey...~ Oh, Lacey... Did you see my text messages, Lacey?~ I can't wait to meet up, Lacey...! I love you... I want to meet you, Lacey... Tonight... Bye!” As soon as the call ends, a scary, distorted face of Lacey can be seen on the screen for a few seconds before everything returns to normal. As we are about to finish the clothes for the night, the same scary face can be seen behind Lacey’s window.

History. (2)

Already at the mall, a glitch can be seen with a dialogue from Lacey that says; “Please help me! He’s going to kill me!”. Finally, it’s time to create the final outfit, the one for the night. The background music is shown to be extremely creepy with sounds of doors knocking and heavy breathing. In the option that says “Tops” you can see an option that says; “Open gift from door”, which at first glance seems to be the type with chocolates, but when you open it, there’s nothing but guts. The options are suddenly removed, and again you hear a phone call that says the following; “Lacey, I’m here! I’m here, Lacey, did you get my gift, Lacey? Did you like it?! I’m here, open the door, honey! Open the damn door!”. As we continue dressing Lacey, blood-red texts appear on the screen, begging us not to let her out. Finally, Lacey is forced outside, where it says in black text; “What have you done?!” The screen goes black as a girl is heard screaming and suffering in an indescribable way while the game shows pictures of Lacey losing her limbs. The game ends with the stalker saying; “I ate her remains so we could be together forever. I love you Lacey.” • Lacey's Diner (2007) "Lacey is about to open her new restaurant. However, she'll need your help to keep up with all those hungry customers. To play: add whatever ingredients Lacey requests, when that's ready, it's time to serve the customers! But don't take too long, you know how people get when they're hungry..."

History. (3)

The game gives you the option to put said recipes in with Lacey before the three minutes are up, but if the time runs out, Lacey will do things himself while the whole outline starts to fail, showing red all over and a faceless Lacey. But if we do everything on time, Lacey mentions that now it's time to serve the customers. "Whew! All the customers are happy! And you made a lot of money! Now Lacey is going to rest!" Showing three days where everything is going well. However, when we let the time pass, we see comments and hear screams across the screen of someone mistreating Lacey's dolls while there are dialogues that say; "Stupid, fuck you, useless, slow" due to not delivering the food on time. Later we are shown the empty tables with a dialogue that says; "Oh no! You didn't finish in time and everyone left... But don't worry, there's always tomorrow!" A realistic shot of the restaurant is then shown with a shot of Lacey saying; "This... Was all I had... And the diners, they never forgive, if I fail, my only option will be... Die." On day two, if we skip ahead again, a creepy, realistic Lacey will be shown with text that says "Failure" and "Aberrant Acts." The game continues with muffled sounds of Lacey as she watches as she runs out of customers, sadly saying; "Oh no! How can the diners not be able to wait three damn minutes for their food? I'm running out of money to survive, I'm really trying... I hate you all, I hate you all, I hate you all. I'll give you all something to eat with, and you'll pay the consequences for everything you did. There's nothing I could remember, even with my eyes closed." It's on day three, as the main recipe says; "Finish with everything" while the ingredients are: cigarettes, a used condom, hard drugs, a spoonful of dead meat, glass fragments, nopor and the face of his uncle.

History. (4)

Each ingredient that is placed represents confessions. Cigarettes: “These are some of the hardest moments to forget, because the cigarette butts were stuck from my heels to my hair.” > This indicates that someone who lived with her was bad and put out cigarettes on her, and that person was her uncle. Dead Spoon: “First, they took over the ceiling of my room, but then, you were everywhere... Insects, bites, dirt, ash, vomit...” Nopor: “Someone wants to see her suffer at her own game.” Hard drugs: “Rocio.” Used condom: “Her screams were inaudible to his ears, they were simply happiness...” Broken Glass: “Slowly but surely burrowing into your layers, into your blood vessels, it loves to feel all your fat, swirling around you, ripping through your muscles and touching the core of your very bones.” Uncle: A real photo of said gentleman with a mustache and a white shirt is shown, upon placing it, the dish is finally served, remains of her dead uncle. It turns out that Lacey had killed her uncle, mutilated him and cooked him out of contempt and revenge due to the countless times he abused her, serving said dish to the same customers who mistreated her, demonstrating a highly vengeful side of Lacey. Eventually, her restaurant is shut down for health violations. The game ends with Lacey smoking and looking horrified with no expression as she says, “That was it...” The scene changes to her lifeless body in an alley near her home. • Lacey's Petshop (2007) The game begins with Lacey showing off some music she made with her two friends Jay and Mazy.

History. (5)

"Lacey runs one of the most popular pet stores in town! Lots of people come here looking for their perfect furry friend, so help Lacey out today! To play, listen to your customers' requests and then use the bottom row to customize your pet so it's ready for its loving new home. Remember, in this store, animals always have to look perfect. Good luck!" The game starts and it shows that a total of nine pets need to be delivered. The first belongs to a brown-haired girl, who says she wants a clean, adorable, and playful dog. The second is a pop star girl who wants a purple cat with red eyes and a lot of personality. The third is a dark girl who wants a parrot, but is disgusted by the colors it has, so Lacey paints it black, puts boots on it, and gives it emo bangs. This is when things get highly creepy, as the fourth person demands a gaster with a super long neck, forcing Lacey to cruelly stretch it. The fifth is a man with big dark circles under his eyes who wants a turtle with teeth to smile at him. The seventh person shows a horrible appearance, as he tells Lacey that he wants a rabbit without a tail, legs, and ears so that it doesn't distract him. Here you can see Lacey quite nervous about what she is about to do and ends up cruelly mistreating the rabbit. The last person is shown to have a dog, which has the distorted face of her uncle. Suddenly, a naked Lacey is shown with censored boxes and realistic eyes with text that reads; "Uh oh! You clicked on the BAD DOG. You made a mistake." In the loading screen, Lacey is shown reflecting on more traumas she's experienced in her life, which she's pretended not to experience by cutting her hair or biting her nails.

History. (6)

The game quickly turns into a completely different and horrifying one, where you can see options for several routes and the skeleton of a cat looking at you as Lacey says; “Where am I...?” The cat tells you that to enter, you must give him his snatched skin, which definitely doesn’t make it look any better. After Lacey enters her house and goes up the stairs, you can see some humanoid pigs eating flowers in horrible shapes, while they look at Lacey and her narrative comes out that says; “I’ve always known what you are, from the moment you first touched me, to the moment I touched the remains of your skin folded on the floor. You squealed like a pig, and I collected bruises for years. My spine hurt, like a needle was going through me, and once I got used to it, I stopped thinking about the pain, but you made me reflect forever when you made that mistake... When you took my angel, away from me...”. With this, Lacey confesses the strong abuse she lived with her uncle and that she apparently lived alone with him. When she says "you took my angel" she refers to her dog, which was what kept her sane, which completely broke her childhood, innocence and mind. Upon returning, Lacey continues down the right route and ends up in a cage with signs of abuse in a cage while she says; "Yes... I know she wasn't forced to be in the cage... But... For some reason... It feels comfortable to be here...". Lacey grabs the key and goes to the bathroom where there is a lot of blood, where she sees a reflection of herself sad and broken while she says sadly... "I'm Lacey...". Rocio suddenly appears in the mirror with wires on her body and a creepy image while texts appear that say; "This... It's just a game... But I made soooo many of these, just for you. These... They're not like the girls' games on the internet full of lies... These... Are REAL girls."

Stories. (7)

What Rocio, the creator, theorizes is that it is a reflection of Lacey on everything that happened in her world. Finally, Lacey approaches her room, and sees an entity under the bed that slowly approaches the screen. The screen goes blank, but then Lacey is sent to a dark room with a realistic window, where she speaks through text on the screen and says the following; “After what happened... I would like to adopt a kitten. I was thinking about having a kitten this time... Yes, a small and furry kitten, I really want to have a cat. I have been starving for days... But nothing will make me leave here, I feel my uncle lurking under the bed, watching me...” “We did all kinds of things together, like going out for ice cream!” In the end, Lacey goes to the last door that is made of a candle, Lacey wonders if she should burn to death in order to wake up, to which the player forces her to do, while a horrible and strange song plays that defines the abuse she lived through. When she wakes up, it turns out it was a "dream" and she is now very relieved, asking if we want to play again as a bloody human hand emerges from under her bed. • Lacey's Makeup Salon (2008) Lacey’s disturbing saga begins to come to an end in the makeup salon, where realistic and gruesome hands are seen applying makeup to women, before cutting to a completely different scene of Lacey, where she looks downcast and desperate as she states the following; “No no no no no no no no no no no... When I’m grieving... I look ugly... When I cry... I look ugly... She... She’s just a customer, she... She just needs makeup... Sure! She just needs makeup like me... She just needs... To fix herself...” It is later revealed that she ended up killing her friend Jay again and was desperate over what she did.

History. (8)

Her mental problems escalate to such a scale that everything changes from scene to scene, putting makeup on her face to change her reality and putting makeup on her friend's decomposed corpse in a highly disturbing and creepy scene. The game ends with a text that says; "Dead girls don't cry." • Lacey's Wardrobe (Extended) Finally, a user managed to officially release the extended version of the first game, where we start again with Lacey going out in the same place where she was swallowed, only this time if we dress her in an Eskimo hat, baggy pants, a sweatshirt, comber sneakers and glasses, the stalker will not be able to recognize her on the street and will not be able to kill her, which unlocks more endings in the game. "Oh! Looks like Lacey's date couldn't find her! But nothing that an outing with her best friend can fix. Help Lacey choose her most striking outfit! Her friend needs to find her easily in the crowd at the cafeteria." While we dress Lacey again, a mysterious sign appears on the screen saying that we have a human-sized gift at the door, if we accept it, Lacey will be devoured by her stalker and will keep her remains in said gift while screaming in a heartbreaking way, but if we are smart and ignore the gift, Lacey will be able to reunite with her friend easily. At night, Lacey gets a surprise invitation where she has to go dressed all in red, so we have to dress her up one more time before the 15 seconds are up so the stalker doesn't eat her in a scary way. "The party was awesome, a perfect night thanks to your help! This morning, Lacey found out she has to go to her friend's funeral. Help Lacey pick out the cutest outfit to see that bitch one last time!" Then we have to dress Lacey up so she can quickly go to the funeral, where things get even scarier.

History. (9)

"It seems Lacey has arrived early to the funeral. Make the most of her free time and help the Tenapactor dress up her friend Lacey's corpse! Make her super pretty for her eternal journey to hell." If we dress her friend in the right ways, Lacey will stay at the funeral where she will return home late and die cremated, but if we dress her in inappropriate ways, Lacey will return home early, where she will start talking directly to the player. Lacey: “Hey, hello! What’s your name?” Player: “My name is [...]” Lacey: “Ah! [...] That’s a cool name! It is, I love it...! ... You don’t like seeing me suffer, do you? RIGHT? I found a way out but you have to close the game... If you don’t close it, I’ll still be trapped here. CLOSE THE DAMN GAME, PLEASE!” If we don't close the game, poor Lacey will be condemned to live forever in her traumas and nightmares, where she will be condemned to die again and again. But if we close the game and reopen it, we will see that Lacey is no longer there, her soul will finally be able to rest forever.

Theories.

• It's possible that Lacey dated the stalker thinking he was a cute guy, so she didn't want to go out with him before she was killed for the first time. Although it's possible that the stalker killed Lacey's real date, which explains why he gave her pieces of human flesh on her doorstep. This leaves aside the no-talking-to-strangers thing. > It also explains why he says "we will always be together", as it is as if he does not want me to be with anyone else. • At the end of Lacey's Diner, we see a photo of a girl connected to a computer with several cables, which reflects that someone wants to channel their experiences with these games, someone who wants to die. • The condoms used in Lacey's restaurant during the bad ending imply that her uncle used condoms when he took advantage of her. The broken glass on one of the plates shows her cutting herself to try to relieve herself as well. • It's possible that all of the characters wearing makeup have already been killed by Lacey at some point in the game to make it look like everything is okay, as one has a sagging face, another has a worm, and another has dead eyes. • When Lacey is eaten in one of the endings, you can see her black pupils, and she also shows her teeth. This shows that her pupils are dry due to the trauma. • Her uncle may have forced her to kill his dog, which explains why she was forced to mistreat animals in his store.

Curiosities.

• Lacey is 19 years old. • The pigs eating flowers is possibly a reflection of her uncle and his friends, as Lacey confesses to seeing her uncle as a pig. The flowers represent her lost innocence that accompanies her virginity. • Lacey has a nightmare disorder, as she has many a week. • Lacey loves pop and rock. • Lacey would be able to fight until the end. • One of the selectable clothes in Lacey's Wardrobe is a black shirt with letters that say "angel" in reference to her dead dog or some of her deaths. • It is known that her uncle forced her to kill her dog, so she got the courage to kill her uncle and serve it as food in her restaurant, but in the end, it is revealed that she did not know what to do with the other remains and kept them under her bed, which is why she mentions that she is afraid to go out and feels that her uncle is still watching her under the bed. It is possible to know that she loved her dog very much, since around her room, you can see dog paws stuck on the wall. • Demands a line at the end of the second game that dictates the following... "She entered the empty room that was at the edge of the universe, and went to the only button on the wall, which could erase anyone's existence. There, she met the ugliest and most forgotten souls. She then made her decision and pressed the button, blood pouring down her throat to her toes. She was in total shock, as she thought the elimination would be clean and instantaneous, but she forgot that the only elimination that exists, is death, and there is no death without pain." > This reveals how Lacey killed Jay to the other characters inside the computer. • Lacey would like to feel what it's like to be real once again.
