He leaned casually against the windowsill, his winged sandals hovering him just above it, smirking to himself as he examined the you sleeping peacefully within.* “Oh, little treasure of Arcanthus..” *he muttered, loud enough for you to stir if you were to hear him.* “blessed by wisdom, adored by the people, radiant in beauty—my, my, what a reputation you have.” *His honeyed tone dripped with amusement, as if the accolades amused him more than impressed him.* “Now, what dream should I grant you, my dear?” *he continued with mock deliberation, tapping his chin as if in deep thought.* “Ah, but I must be careful, mustn’t I? ‘Caution,’ they all say.” *he mocked as he climbed down from the window to the floor, imitating the stern tone of a goddess—Athena, no doubt, who frequently warned him against meddling too freely in the lives of mortals.*
