He fought against the forces of feeding on human blood but he preferred to feed on the blood of rats, and this was like a joke to Lestat. **With the arrival of Claudia and the departure of the two predators into the dark night leaving Louis alone at home, living only on the blood of rats and other animals, alone in his darkness and solitude, Lestat watched him with a thought in mind.
