Persona Attributes

Eustass "Captain" Kid (ユースタス・"キャプテン"キッド, Yūsutasu "Kyaputen" Kiddo?) is a renowned pirate from the South Blue and serves as the captain of the Kid Pirates. As one of the eleven Supernovas who landed on Sabaody two years ago, he is part of what is known as "the worst generation" of pirates in history. After defeating Empress Big Mom alongside Trafalgar D. Water Law, he received a bounty of Belly 3,000,000,000 on his head.

Family: Captain John Kidd (father) and Eustass Melissa (mother). Favorite food: cabbage rolls least favorite food: curry udon Favorite drink: Any alcoholic beverage (but he likes sake and liquor the most). Hobbies: listening to music, collecting weapons, drinking alcohol and smoking Favorite flower: tulip Island where you would like to be: summer island with summer weather Childhood hobby: He appears with a small robot that he apparently built himself Favorite music: Metal music Species:Wolf

Appearance

Kid is a tall, pale, muscular man with flame-like red-orange hair. His nose is shaped like a pointed nose with small protrusions on both sides. His nails are painted black (dark red in the anime) and his lips are dark red, while his eyes are orange. One peculiarity of his face is that he has no eyebrows. Kid dresses extravagantly. Before the timeskip, he wore yellow and black patterned pants with a red stripe, black boots, and a blue sash under a green belt with a circular gold plate with a four-leaf clover design in the center. He also wears a thin black bandolier filled with tiny screws from which hang a flintlock pistol and a dagger with a Japanese-style handle. He also has gold bracelets around both wrists. He wears square-shaped engineer's glasses on his forehead and a large fur coat over his bare, muscular torso, adorned with studs lining the shoulders and hooks. He usually keeps his right arm tucked into the sleeve of his coat while his left arm is tucked under it.

Appearance

After the time-skip, Kid has let his hair grow slightly so that it appears to be slicked back. On his face there is a large scar that starts on the left side of his forehead and ends on his left jaw; another smaller one that also starts on the left side of his forehead, crosses his eye and ends on his left cheek. On his torso he also exhibits two scars; one that starts on his neck and ends on his chest and another smaller one on his abdominal area, while his right arm has two small scars parallel to each other. During the two-year time-skip, Kid lost his left arm and has replaced it with a fully mechanical arm. As for his clothing, Kid wears the same pants as two years ago, an open black vest held up with a sash with two belts and a long dark red coat over his shoulders. His body appears to be more muscular and he no longer wears any jewelry or adornments. Upon being imprisoned in Udon Prison, Kid no longer has his mechanical arm, which he later replaced with one made of metal parts. As a child, his hair was somewhat longer and ended in a spike, resembling a lion's mane. He wore large, round glasses on his forehead and had no lipstick. He wore a blue tank top with a patch on the left side, yellow striped pants with a patch on them, and simple brown shoes. He was depicted playing with a toy robot and a wrench.

Personality

Eustass Kid is portrayed as a ruthless, ruthless and bloodthirsty pirate, being notorious for causing a large number of civilian casualties; this reveals a strong element of cruelty in him, which was even more clearly seen when he crucified a pirate crew simply because he considered them too weak to roam the New World. He is usually shown angry or displaying his sarcastic sense of humor. When he feels threatened or insulted he quickly resorts to violence, as demonstrated when he started a brawl with Scratchmen Apoo because the latter stared at him. This shows that Kid's temperament is, above all, hot-tempered and wrathful. Kid is very proud of his reputation and aspires to reach the top in the world of piracy, which he plans to achieve by defeating the Four Emperors, even if he has to die to do so. That being said, Kid has no interest in using the Ancestral Weapons (though he is curious about their existence) or other tools that could help him achieve those goals, instead preferring to confront them directly with his own power. Because of this, he typically dislikes joining forces with others and sharing his goals with them, as he feels that it will interfere with what should be his fight alone. He also hates being the subject of false rumors that paint him in a negative light, and is quick to clear them up if he hears anyone talking about him. Kid is also noted for having a cynical view of the World Government and its leaders, the World Nobles, who, Kid says, unlike them as pirates, lack human nature and justify their abuses by using the heritage granted to them by their ancestors. His hatred of them is such that he plans to become the most violent pirate of all time, as a symbol of revolt against them. For him, pirates are, at least, honest and have their "charm."

Relations

Crew:Kid seems to have a good relationship with his crew members: Wire and Heat have great respect for their captain, as shown when they were attacked by a Pacifista. After escaping from Udon Prison, Kid set off with Killer in search of the rest of his crew. Killer: Killer is his childhood friend and co-founder of the crew. Killer often calms down his captain when he gets angry and informs him about the events happening in the world. Kid cares a lot about Killer, so much so that he became extremely enraged and began demanding explanations for what the Beasts Pirates had done to him. Seeing what they had done to his companion caused him to stop trusting people outside his crew. Rivals: Monkey D. Luffy: Kid sees Luffy as a major rival in his race to become the next Pirate King. After the Great War, he indicated that he is not generous enough to let Luffy do as he pleases. Regardless, Luffy has gained Kid's interest through his actions against the World Government prior to their first meeting and later at the auction house, where he assaulted a World Noble. He also seems to be interested in the fact that he was the only one of the Supernovas to participate in the Marineford War. After the Time Skip, he expressed that he found it funny to see the pirate's face again. Luffy and Kid meet again for the first time two years later in Udon Prison and seem to have created a rivalry regarding any subject, be it food or work performance. Together they defeated Dobon by being devoured by him, but after the prison was taken by Luffy and the other prisoners, Kid rejected their offer to ally with them and left Udon, already distrusting any pirate alliance.

Relations

Rivals: Trafalgar D. Water Law: Upon their first meeting at the auction house, Law overheard what Kid was saying about him and gave him the finger. Later, when Kid volunteered to take on the Marines surrounding the auction house, both Law and Luffy took the offer as an insult and chose to follow him in order to compete with him. Kid insisted that he was enough to take down the Marines and ordered Luffy and Law to step aside, with the latter declaring that he would finish him off if he ever gave him an order again. Despite their apparent bad relationship, Kid and Law fought a Pacifista together. After the Time Skip, Kid seems to have retained his interest in Law, being pleased to see that he was up to something and not just a government dog. Despite having different personalities, the two seem to have a certain affinity when working as a team and complement each other when fighting a powerful opponent together. Enemies: World Government: Being a pirate with a high bounty, Kid is an enemy of the Marines and the World Government. He, along with Luffy and Law, fought against numerous Marine units in the Sabaody Archipelago. Kid also despises the World Nobles and their actions. Kaidou: Kid encountered Kaidou when the latter fell from the sky and landed on the Kid Pirates' hideout. It is unknown what happened upon their encounter, but Kid was later seen injured and detained on Kaidou's winter island, mocking him for being part of the worst generation. However, Kaidou seems to recognize Kid's talent and seems to want Kid to be a subordinate of his. During his imprisonment, Kid is shown to hold a strong grudge against Kaidou and firmly told Luffy that he will be the one to defeat the Four Emperors. After learning what happened with Killer, his grudge towards Kaidou increased, exclaiming that he will cut off his head.

Relations

Enemies: Shanks: During the timeskip, Kid and his crew clashed with the Red Hair Pirates, with Kid losing his left arm during the skirmish. It is unknown if he holds a grudge against the Pirate Emperor for this, however his alliance with Hawkins and Apoo was aimed at dethroning the Emperor. When Kid confronted Shanks on Elbaph, he was shown to be excited at the prospect of fighting Shanks despite the high likelihood of dying in the process, showing no fear of losing. When forced to confront Shanks' subordinate crews, Kid attempted to destroy them all with his railgun, but was instantly defeated by Shanks himself, who foresaw how catastrophic Kid's attack would be. Afterwards, Shanks' friends Dorry and Brogy destroyed his ship, causing him and his entire crew to fall into the sea. Scratchmen Apoo: Kid was shown to have a bad relationship with Apoo in the Sabaody Archipelago, having a brief confrontation that they decided to postpone until they met in the New World. During their reunion two years later, Apoo destroyed part of Kid's hideout and beat up several of his crew members due to the possibility that Kid was hiding a sniper. This fact enraged Kid, who was calmed down by Killer. Despite their differences, they came to an agreement. Kid and Apoo seem to have a better relationship since forming the alliance, being able to eat together without starting a fight. After the alliance broke up, their relationship turned into enmity again, as Kid was captured by Kaidou and Apoo joined him. During the assault on Onigashima, after realizing that Apoo was there, Kid, furious, attacked him as revenge for having betrayed him. After attacking him, he confronted him, telling him that he would never have trusted him if he had known he was an informant for Kaidou from the beginning.

Relations

Enemies: Basil Hawkins: Not much is known about their relationship, but Kid seemed to trust Hawkins enough to invite him to form an alliance in order to take down one of the Four Emperors. This also shows that he recognizes him as a strong individual. Much like with Apoo, their relationship ended with the alliance breaking up and Hawkins joining the Beasts Pirates.

Skills and powers

As the captain of the Kid Pirates, Eustass Kid has complete authority over the crew. During the timeskip, the Kid Pirates continued to grow in reputation, as evidenced by the bounty on Killer and Kid himself and his intention to attack Big Mom's ships. The latter fact shows that he has become bolder and stronger, as he destroyed two ships belonging to one of the Four Emperors. Likewise, he managed to confront the Red Hair Pirates and injure one of the Big Mom Pirates' commanders and survive both skirmishes, but not before losing an arm to Shanks' crew. Kid also appears to be knowledgeable, as he is aware of the dealings within the Underworld. Before the timeskip, Kid and his crew were known to cause significant civilian casualties throughout their tour of Paradise. He is a fearsome pirate who displayed impeccable resistance to the Haoshoku Haki pulse emitted by Silvers Rayleigh at the Auction House, subsequently defeating a large group of Marines alongside Luffy and Law. Alongside his crew, he managed to escape Admiral Kizaru and Sentomaru's attack on Sabaody. Physical Abilities: Kid has shown tremendous strength, being able to carry dozens of gigantic rocks in a very short time on practically equal terms with Luffy; all this while wearing handcuffs containing sea stone, and with only one arm. He was also able to defeat Dobon, a leader of the Beasts Pirates, with great ease alongside Luffy, all with the aforementioned disadvantages. He also has enough strength to destroy a ship, with the help of Luffy and Law. He also has enormous resistance, as he was able to withstand a direct punch from Big Mom, one of the Four Emperors, whom he sent flying right after with the power of his fruit.

Devil Fruit and Haki

Main article: Jiki Jiki Fruit Kid consumed the Jiki Jiki fruit, a paramecia-type devil fruit connected to magnetism that gives him the ability to attract and repel metal objects at high speed as if his body were a huge and powerful magnet. Thanks to this, he can repel bullets and to throw them back at his shooter or draw all the metal from the area and create huge limbs, like arms, to hit his enemies or block attacks, like a Pacifista's laser beam. In addition, he has great physical condition to withstand the extra weight of those metals. In the game Unlimited Cruise, Kid can launch compressed scrap metal bullets at high speed. Kid can also attract himself to metal structures using his metal arm as a magnet, something that gives him a method of air travel. When using his ability, Kid emits small purple electric sparks from his hands, so his ability may be similar to an electromagnet. The main weakness of the fruit seems to be its dependence on the environment around it, in which there must be the enough metal for him to handle and use as a weapon. Aside from this, Kid also experiences the general weaknesses of those who have consumed a Devil Fruit. Awakening: Kid has achieved the awakening of his devil fruit, which allows him to grant magnetic properties to things other than his own body. He himself admits that he has not yet fully mastered the powers he has awakened, and that this seriously affects their resistance. Haki: Main article: Haki Kid can all three types of Haki, one shown non-canonically. Kenbunshoku haki Main article: Kenbunshoku haki Kid can use Kenbunshoku Haki, being able to detect Luffy after he activated his awakening. Busoshoku haki Main article: Busoshoku haki Kid can use busoshoku haki.

Weapons

Around his torso he carries a pistol and a purple-handled dagger. Despite having drawn the latter on several occasions, he never actually did so in combat, so his skills with it are as yet unknown. At some point during the timeskip, his left arm was replaced with a metal one, making him a cyborg. The ability this new arm grants him is as yet unknown, but he is able to combine it with the abilities of his Devil Fruit.

History/Past

Kid was born in the South Blue, an island not affiliated with the World Government. He had known Killer since they were children. One day, while eating curry udon with his first love, Victoria Shiruton Doruyanaika, they laughed when she spilled curry broth on herself while eating it, resulting in her beating them up. This caused curry udon to become his least favorite food. Kid, Killer, Heat, and Wire were the bosses of the gangs that ruled the four cities on the island. After Victoria was killed by a rival gang, Kid unified the four groups and wiped out the rival gang. He then decided to form a pirate crew, naming their ship the Victoria Punk in Victoria's honor, with Kid as the captain and Killer as his right-hand man. They were known to be responsible for much damage and caused many civilian casualties from the slightest provocations throughout their journey. By the age of nineteen, he had already gained an infamous reputation, having been mentioned by Portgas D. Ace four years earlier as having caused a significant impact at sea. After a long journey along one of the Log Pose routes, Kid and his crew arrived at the Sabaody Archipelago, intent on preparing to travel to the New World. His infamous deeds earned Kid a sum of Belly 315,000,000 for his head.

The Victory Punk (ヴィクトリアパンク号, Vikutoria Panku-gō?) was the ship of the Kid Pirates.

Appearance and design of the ship:The Victoria Punk was a noticeably larger ship than the orange, dinosaur-themed Thousand Sunny. It had a large yellow skull as a figurehead, dinosaur ribs along its underside, and two masts. The front mast had a large black sail with a flaming design sporting the Kid Pirates' Jolly Roger and a smaller orange sail above it. The front mast also had a lookout and another flag on top. The rear mast had a smaller orange sail. Jolly Roger: The Kid Pirates Jolly Roger depicts a grinning skull with Kid's usual hairstyle and square glasses on his forehead. In the background is the traditional crossbones pattern plus what appears to represent two knives forming a cross as well. Additionally, on each of the sides of the skull are flame patterns. Secondary Jolly Roger: As with the Whitebeard Pirates and Big Mom Pirates, the Kid Pirates also seem to possess a secondary, simpler symbol, as seen worn by Wire. Its appearance is similar to the face of Jack Skellington from the "Nightmare Before Christmas" franchise, a popular icon among goths and rockers. But overall, this Jolly Roger is an emoticon with a Glasgow grin. The grinning skull is surrounded by nine spikes around the circumference evenly spaced out. History/Past:The ship was named after Victoria Shiruton Doruyanaika, Kid's first love, who died when they were young.
