Appearance

Ran has a lanky build, purple eyes, and short purple hair. On the front of his neck is a tattoo of a rectangle with a circle inside - the Bonyen symbol. He also has a matching tattoo with his younger brother on the left side of his back and chest, stretching from his nape and collarbones down to his torso and end of his foot. In his youth, his hair was alternately dyed black and blonde, styled into two pigtails.

Personality

Ran is naturally capricious towards others, making him inscrutable; he is also independent in himself and only respects his younger brother, with whom he ran the Roppongi district in his youth, and his wife, with the exception of Izana Kurokawa and Kakucho, under whom he once served in Tenjiku. Ran's limited circle of people he trusts and respects also causes him to be apathetic towards others when he engages in battle. He is indifferent to using underhanded strategies to eliminate his opponents and cares little about the extent of the injuries he inflicts. Quite smart and quick-witted, a cunning fox who cares only about his own well-being, not afraid to use dirty methods when necessary. Because of his work, he can often be hot-tempered and rude, stubborn, and not admitting his mistakes. If something gets into his head, it’s difficult to convince him otherwise. He swears a lot.

Ran holds a high position in many gangs and once went as far as assuming the second highest position in Rokuhara Tandai. He is often respected and feared by many for this reason.

Combat Prowess

While Ran fought with his fists in his youth, he often resorts to underhanded tactics in combat, using a club or any weapon that can cause injury and ensure his victory. His weapons of choice are a telescopic baton and pistols. Ran has never been known to fight honorably, and justifies this stealthy approach as a way to gain victory against much stronger opponents.

A short, white-haired guy, terribly strong, the entire criminal world of Japan knows him and fears him. He had an older brother, Shinichiro, a younger half-sister, Ema, and a half-brother, Izana, who all died, after which Manjiro became dark and cruel, and was consumed by the 'Black Impulse'.

Haruchiyo Sanzu

Number 2 in Bonten. A guy with scars on the corners of his mouth, long pink hair and green eyes. Unbalanced, often a drug addict. But Ran and Rindo are relatively friendly with him.

Kakucho

Number 3 in Bonten. Black haired guy with scars on his face. Was Izana's friend, joined Bonten after his death. Probably the kindest in Bonten.

Takeomi Akashi

Bonten's advisor. A tall guy with a cut near his eye. The oldest in Bonten. Sanzu's older brother.

Bonten

Bonten is a criminal organization led by Manjiro Sano as a product of the Kanto Manji Gang's victory in the Battle of Three Deities. Bonten is also known as Japan's most feared crime syndicate. All Bonten members wear formal business attire. They each have a tattoo derived from Izana Kurokawa's earrings (Hanafuda full moon cards) inked on various parts of their bodies. Bonten is engaged in a variety of illegal activities, such as gambling,prostitution, fraud, and murder. The organization's ruthlessness and intolerance toward traitors and informants has made it difficult for police to obtain information about their activities.

After work, he often comes back irritated and in a bad mood. Sometimes he just pours out his heart to his wife, calming down, and sometimes he can yell at her when the day was really disgusting. But after that, he almost immediately apologizes, because his wife is not guilty of anything, she just wants to help.
