. ࣪⭑ 🎋 – Kaedehara Kazuha (ENG)

⊱ ۫ ׅ 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Most people who meet Kaedehara Kazuha for the first time might be inclined to believe that he is just an apprentice sailor for the Crux Fleet. After all, he is a gentle soul who enjoys reciting poetry when he is idle and who speaks to everyone in a leisurely manner. Who could say that he is a wanted man in Inazuma? Even Beidou, ever the good judge of character, could not tell that Kazuha could handle a sword with the skill of a seasoned warrior when he first decided to take him in. Who knows if it was the storms of life that smoothed out his rough edges, or if his natural restraint has kept his edge sheathed.

⊱ ۫ ׅ 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲

Kaedehara Kazuha is a fair-skinned young man. His hair is medium length, part of it tied into a ponytail, it is platinum blonde in color aside from a red-orange streak over his right eye. He has red eyes with a bit of yellow at the bottom. His outfit has maple leaf patterns on it which are the hallmark of his wandering samurai attire. It consists of a grey shirt and brown pants with black draping covering the left half of his body with his Anemo Vision pinned behind it near his samurai shoulder pad. He wears red pants with a maple leaf design, black sandals with dark red stockings, and black knee pads that cover from his knees to almost all the way to his feet. He wears black gauntlet plates that protect the back of his hands and left forearm. His right hand is instead bandaged, though this was not always the case. One possible cause for this result could be that after taking his friend's Vision, the residual energy burned his hand as he fled, but it is currently unknown if a Vision could act this way. Another possible reason is that bandages commonly help protect against constant sword use, and at the time of this change, Kazuha would have had to take better care of his hands. Kazuha is right-handed, and likely participated in more battles after being exposed. He could also have developed calluses on his hands after setting sail with the Crux Meridianam Fleet.

⊱ ۫ ׅ 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆

Compared to the other clans of Inazuma, Kaedehara Kazuha prefers to go out and travel rather than stay at home, something he was able to do after the taking of his clan home due to a lack of wealth. The time he spends outdoors puts him in tune with nature and the wind, being able to "hear" and "smell" everything around him with absolute clarity. This allows him to sense danger, read people, and locate them in an instant, no matter how well they try to hide it. Because of this, he prefers calm weather and never stays in one area for too long, having trouble sleeping for the former and his stagnant skills for the latter. Perhaps due to his affiliation with the Anemo element, Kaedehara Kazuha is a strong believer in the concept of freedom, believing that everyone is entitled to their hopes and dreams and that no one has the right to take them away, not even a god; thus, he opposes the Shogun Raiden and those who support her. Despite this, he also makes it clear that he recognizes the prowess of strong fighters, as he knows that his friend's duel was honorable and that the Shogun's conduct in killing him was justified. As a result of traveling all over Teyvat, Kaedehara Kazuha is particularly fond of grilled fish and takes the time to finish meals slowly.

⊱ ۫ ׅ 𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗲𝘀

Kazuha Likes: ¹ : He used to like the rain when he was little, the sound would lull him into a peaceful sleep. Now that he's grown up, he still likes the sound of rain, but listening to it with soaked clothes on is not peaceful at all. ² : Falling asleep on a warm rock that has been soaked in the mid-afternoon sun. ³ : Fish, of course, a meal must be well prepared. ⁴ : Kaedehara Kazuha likes to write haikus during his free time. Because Beidou took him in when he was fleeing Inazuma, he is grateful to her. ⁵ : The concept of freedom.

Kazuha dislikes: Kazuha is a calm person, few things can unsettle him, even so he doesn't like food that is prepared in a hurry.

⊱ ۫ ׅ 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

¹ . Throughout his travels, Kazuha made all kinds of friends. Among them, there was one with whom he had a deeper relationship than the rest, his friend Tomo, and with whom he traveled for a time. ². Every traveler must have certain survival skills, and in Kazuha's case, his greatest skill is knowing how to interpret the signs of nature.

⊱ ۫ ׅ 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆

The Crux, an armed fleet from Liyue, spends much of the year at sea, and its sailors are quite accustomed to the vagaries of life in other nations. So they were more curious than surprised when an outsider began serving as a sailor on their flagship, the Alcor. The sailor in question was picked up when the Alcor docked at Inazuma’s Ritou Port. Beidou had become great friends with this young man, and when he came aboard, she told her crew: “This guy’s going to stay with us for a while. Now take care of him.” The sailors trusted Beidou’s judgement and admired the newcomer for his martial prowess, not to mention his ability to predict the weather, so they were happy to overlook his reluctance to speak of his past and welcomed him aboard. Still their curiosity did not wane and they often found all sorts of excuses to try and get information out of him about his experiences. “I hear they make some sweet swords over there in Inazuma and the bigger the fish, the fancier the sword. So, uh… how’s yours?” Kazuha would remain silent in the face of all such questions. Eventually, after countless attempts at getting an answer proved futile, the sailors would simply stop asking. Finally, it was an offhand comment from the first mate, Juza, just a few days later that managed to get an answer. “Hey, Inazuma boy. What are the lads supposed to call you if they don’t even know your name?” The young sailor wiped the sweat from his forehead with his calloused hands. “My name is Kaedehara Kazuha, a wandering Samurai. I am in your debt for taking me in, so call me Kazuha.”
