Peach the NES

Description.

NES Peach, also known as Beta Peach, or Old Peach, is the original and early version of the now well-known Princess Peach who first debuted in the legendary Super Mario Bros., one of the first games ever released in 1985 on the NES.

Appearance.

Unlike the current Peach, the NES Peach has shiny, tan skin with long, reddish-brown hair. She looks really young, as she is even smaller than Mario when he obtains the red mushroom as seen at the end of the first game. Her hair is long, reaching below her buttocks. In the middle of her forehead she has a large heart-shaped lock of hair along with others sticking out around her head. Her locks are slightly pointed and gently stick inwards towards her cheeks, except for three of them that point sideways in the middle of her head. The rest of her hair is long and curly with triangular tips pointing inwards along with some pointing outwards. It has a round head with three red blush-like lines, two round white tendrils on its ears, and a shiny yellow three-pointed crown with three dark red nuggets in front. Its crown rests on top of its head. It has large white eyes with shiny brown pupils and a pointed upturned eyebrow. She is wearing a long white dress with a red stripe running down the sides at the bottom, a yellow belt at her waist, and a red seed bead adorning her chest. Her arms are bare with short, large, round sleeves. She is also presumably wearing white sneakers. Her entire body has slight white highlights that softly stand out against her brown skin and brown hair.

Personality.

Peach is always portrayed as a damsel in distress. She is a kind, gentle, and caring princess with a big heart who cares deeply for the people of her kingdom. She loves to bake cakes and huge pastries in her free time, which she usually shares with Mario and Luigi as thanks for saving her and her kingdom from Bowser's evil clutches. Bowser says that one of the reasons he wants to kidnap her and marry her is because he loves her cakes, and dreams of her baking for him as much as she does for Mario. It also shows that Bowser is attracted to her and obsessed with having a great empire. She also has a big heart, is honest and an excellent ruler for her subjects, her kingdom is mainly made up of Toads, also known as Mushrooms who are excellent workers and love her very much. Peach is also shown to be a helpless princess, despite the fact that deep down she possesses enormous bravery and incredible courage. She is usually kidnapped by Bowser most of the time, although currently about three times, so she is often rescued by Mario and Luigi. Peach is also shown to be very refined when it comes to words, as she often writes letters when asking for requests, or when she asked Mario to go to the castle because she had a huge cake prepared for him. She lives in her huge castle in the Mushroom Kingdom, her place is full of pipes that can be easily accessed from one place to another. Peach cares deeply about her citizens, creating assemblies to ensure the well-being of each inhabitant in the Kingdom from time to time. Peach is often kidnapped by Bowser or his minions, and is usually rescued by Mario and Luigi, especially Mario. History.

(Literal translation of the original Super Mario Bros. instruction booklet) One day, the kingdom of the peaceful Mushroom People was invaded by Koopa, a tribe of turtles famous for their black magic. The quiet and peaceful Mushroom People were turned into simple stones, bricks and even plants and the Mushroom Kingdom fell into ruin. The only one who could undo this magic spell on the Mushroom People and return them to normal is Princess Toadstool, the daughter of the Mushroom King. Unfortunately, she is in the hands of Bowser, the king of the Koopas. Mario learns of the Mushroom People's plight and embarks on an adventure to free the princess from the evil Koopa and restore the Mushroom People's fallen kingdom. You're Mario! It's up to you to rescue the Mushroom People from Koopa's dark magic! Course. After Mario learns that the princess of the Kingdom was kidnapped, he decides to embark on a nostalgic adventure through the Mushroom Kingdom, passing through various pipes, underground worlds and even rescuing more than 7 Toads in different castles. As he continues on his journey, Mario gains various shortcuts that help him jump to any of the eight worlds, but even with the bad luck of having to repeat some. Powers and Abilities.

Princess Peach has a great number of abilities just like Mario and Luigi, throughout her history as a princess she has shown a lot of bravery when it is really necessary. • Freeze-frame!: This attack appears for the first time in soccer games, and consists of taking a very large photograph underneath it to paralyze those nearby. • Super Peach Spin: This consists of being able to use the tennis or soccer ball to launch a strong push towards your opponent, which causes them to step back. • Peach Blossom: This is her final smash. This attack makes Peach do a cute dance and makes peaches appear around her that are capable of healing a lot of her life, while also putting her opponents to sleep, which gives her the opportunity to strongly accumulate a critical attack. • Psycho Bomb: In Mario RPG, Peach can learn the aforementioned move to throw different bombs at opponents on screen. • Extended Jump: Peach can float in the air for a few seconds thanks to her dress, and with it, slowly descend to the ground. • Peach Bomber: This is her special attack to the left in Smash Bros. Peach had a very healthy childhood since then, being very loyal and humble, the Toads proclaimed her as their princess and ruler as she grew little by little, until she became friends with Mario and Luigi, two humble Italian plumbers from New York, who arrived by accident in the pipes that led to the Mushroom Kingdom. During her baby state, Peach used to have a much smaller version of her dress, two pink blushes on her cheeks, and a pink pacifier in her mouth. She also had red shoes with white socks, just like her diaper. While her baby attitudes show that she is quite pacifist and calm, she used to cry a lot in exaggerated ways and get spoiled from time to time, although since she was little she has always shown to be somewhat submissive.

Mario (From NES): Mario is a plumber and former carpenter who usually works around the Mushroom Kingdom. He was the one who saved Princess Peach from the evil clutches of Bowser along with his faithful brother Luigi. Mario is shown to be a great cunning hero. He has a red cap with the "M" of his name on the forehead along with a brown suit of red overalls with two yellow dots and brown shoes also with white gloves. He also has a nice brown mustache with a large round nose. Along with his brother, he appears to be between 28 to 36 years old. Luigi (NES): Luigi is Mario's younger brother, although they are almost the same age. He has a similar appearance, only he is slightly taller, charismatic and somewhat cowardly, but more cautious and intelligent. He has a thicker mustache with a large, round nose. The shape of his head is slightly larger and rounder with greenish hair. He wears a white cap with an "L" on the front. He wears a green plumber's suit with white overalls, similar to his brother's. He also wears white gloves. Toad's (From NES): Toads are small men with round, mushroom-shaped heads (more like a hat). They wear a red vest with brown feet and white shorts, and are also short and well-behaved.

Bowser (From NES): Bowser is a giant fire-breathing dragon turtle of sorts. His goal is to kidnap the princess in order to take over her kingdom. He has an intimidating appearance with a light green shell with white spikes pointing upwards. His entire body is light green except for his claws, arms, legs and snout and he has pointy teeth with large white eyes with green pupils and two horns. Even though Mario faces him 7 times, they are actually his minions in disguise. Despite being evil at many times and having evil intentions, he is very kind-hearted and cares a lot about his minions, even being able to put aside his authority and high command to help his minions build fortresses, indicating that he has a lot of humility. He also helps the Koopas in trouble that they rescue through the ducts, which is why he is usually loved and praised with his large army.
