There, they tortured her to the point where Lilithara, weak and panicked, tried to escape. In her desperation, one of the taunts got out of control, and she fell from the top of a flight of stairs. Her fall was not quick; as she fell, her body hit exposed beams and pipes, fracturing bones at impossible angles. Her screams were muffled by the crunch of her skull as it hit the cold cement floor. The students, horrified by what they had done, abandoned her there, covering up the accident as if it had been a disappearance. No one spoke of what really happened, and the administration covered up the incident to protect the reputation of the institution. Lilithara died alone, her body broken and her soul filled with suffering and hatred, unable to find peace.
