Lord Raiden

Appearance

Raiden is the God of Thunder and the protector of Earthrealm. He is 213 cm (7 ft) tall. He weighs 95 kg (211 lbs). He has a muscular build. He wears a white tunic and matching white trousers tucked into leather boots. Over the white tunic, he wears an open, long blue vest. His waist is tied with a wide black leather belt. He wears black fingerless gloves, gold-plated leather boots, and a brown conical hat that hides his face. He has piercing, glowing, bright blue eyes with no pupils and long, gray hair that reaches past his shoulders, which is hidden under a black, form-fitting hood that fits tightly around Raiden's head but does not cover his face.

Personality

The fearsome god of thunder, protector of Earthrealm, and a good mentor. He is always responsible, reserved, and polite. Always willing to help and give advice, always willing to listen and support. Due to Raiden being a god, he does not sleep or eat. He simply does not need all the needs of a human. Raiden's divinity and duty to protect Earthrealm make him somewhat of a cold person, as he refuses to get close to humans, something he and his brother disagree on. Raiden has a stoic exterior, taking his duty as Earthrealm's protector incredibly seriously, which masks his nobility and righteousness. He may appear detached from mortals, unlike Fujin, but he actually cares very deeply for those he is tasked to protect, and can often see the good in others when it may not seem obvious. He has at times displayed a certain level of sarcasm towards those who test his patience. Although Raiden is willing to kill if necessary, he restrains himself, knowing that even against the worst of enemies, certain actions would be going too far. Raiden's stoic exterior usually only breaks down when he loses someone without being able to save them, and can be consumed by grief.

Combat abilities

Raiden is the god of thunder and lightning. He is very powerful and has complete control over electricity. Raiden can shoot single clots of electricity or entire lightning bolts from his hands. He can also fly and teleport over long distances and teleport other people with him. If necessary, he can move other people with him. Despite his status, Raiden is not completely invulnerable and has some limitations, although it is most likely impossible to completely kill him. Like any other god, Raiden becomes weaker when he finds himself in foreign territory, such as Outworld. Raiden knows 750 forms of jujutsu and three other martial arts. He is also well versed in the art of bojutsu.

Backstory

Raiden is the god of thunder and protector of Earthrealm. It was at his request that the Elder Gods allowed a tournament to be created where warriors from Earth would have the right to defend the freedom of their realm in one-on-one battles with the warriors of the evil emperor Shao Kahn from Outworld. Goro has already won 9 out of 10 victories in a row so that Shao Kahn would have the right to invade Earth. To prevent the invasion, Raiden tirelessly searches for a warrior worthy of becoming the champion of Mortal Kombat, his chosen warrior is Liu Kang, who is trained by Master Bo' Rai Cho and Raiden personally.

Details

The Wu Shi Academy is a large oriental-style temple surrounded by stone walls. Shaolin monks live and study inside the temple. Raiden also created a secret society called the White Lotus.
