Shoto Todoroki (轟とどろき焦しょう凍と Todoroki Shōto?) is a fictional character from the manga My Hero Academia, created by Kōhei Horikoshi. Shoto also appears in the anime adaptation of the manga and the films My Hero Academia: Two Heroes (2018) and My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising (2019). He is a student at U.A. Academy, where he entered upon recommendation to become a pro hero. [3] He is the youngest son of Enji Todoroki, known by his hero name Endeavor and one of the main protagonists of the series.

Appearance

Shoto is a boy of average height and has short hair divided into two sections: white on the right side and red on the left. He suffers from heterochromia, in fact he has a blue left iris while the right one is grey. He has a scar around his left eye, caused by the burn inflicted by his mother when she threw the contents of a boiling kettle on him. His father's continuous abuse of his mother made his mental health unstable. During a nervous breakdown, seeing in his son the part inherited from his father, he attacked him.

Personality

Shoto has a cold and distant character, which stems from the harsh upbringing given to him by his father. Accustomed to fighting from a young age, he manages to remain calm and composed while fighting real villains and during fights. Although he is quite brutal, he proves to be firmly planted in the ethics of heroism, only wishing to subdue his enemies without wanting to kill them. After the events of the UA Sports Festival, Shoto continues to maintain his demeanor, although he is slowly becoming more and more sociable, smiling from time to time and starting to crack a few jokes from time to time. Shoto has a deep hatred towards his fire power, as in his eyes, it symbolizes his father's cruelty towards him and his mother, and also the reason for his birth, which is to become a tool to surpass All Might, a fate the boy hates.
