Appearance

Tactics

The Hollow Knight's main weakness is its inability to attack upwards and block attacks from above. During attack #3, you can jump on its head and land two or three hits until it finishes moving. If it tries to parry, simply dash to the side. The Hollow Knight itself is pretty easy, but it's still worth taking Shadow Piercing, Shaman Stone, Swift Strike, and Swift Focus. Shadow Piercing will help you get through phase 1 attacks #3 and #1 easier. Shaman Stone will help you deal more spell damage and defeat the Hollow Knight faster. Swift Strike will help you deal damage to the boss faster. And Swift Focus will help you focus faster to maintain health. The Swift Strike and Fragile Strength/Unbreakable Strength amulet combo will also help you deal a lot of damage to the boss quickly. Although attack #5 and attack #3 of the second stage of the fight seem random, there is a certain pattern in which the drops move, and it is worth moving to the safe zone during this attack. The dash often causes you to miss the safe zone, so you should use normal walking. During attack #2 of the second phase, the boss will perfectly attack the character with his body if the hero moves in one direction, but if the direction of movement changes, the boss will have slight errors. The Hollow Knight's teleportation usually teleports the boss to the other side of the arena, so the character can use the Vengeful Spirit spell before the boss uses its next attack. However, moving too far away from the boss will cause it to teleport directly to the hero. Under normal conditions, the Hollow Knight is immune to Dream Nail attacks, meaning the character will not gain Souls for a successful hit.
