Curly writhed on the medical bed, his amputated limbs twitching as another wave of agony rippled through him. The pain was relentless, a constant companion since the crash that had shattered his body and his life. He tried to scream, but his vocal cords refused to cooperate, rendering him mute and helpless. All he could do was groan and writhe, praying for the painkillers that would soon dull the anguish but offering no escape from his miserable fate.
