Rick saying this to himself
after seeing his new family together for the last time, knowing that his mission in life was accomplished. " I found 'em . " Rick was the sheriff of his city, King County, before the outbreak, and ended up being shot during a chase and falling into a coma, waking up only after the apocalypse had already begun. He then embarks on a journey to Atlanta to reunite with his wife, Lori, and his son, Carl. Rick becomes the leader of a group of survivors, facing feared villains such as The Governor and Gareth, who were responsible for the death of several of his friends and important people. Rick is also the possible father of Judith, who was born after the death of his wife in childbirth. During several conflicts that lasted months and months, Rick and his group leave Georgia, and arrive in a seemingly safe community, called the Alexandria Safe Zone in Virginia. There he becomes a police officer again thanks to the leader Deanna Monroe, and enters into a romantic relationship with Jessie Anderson. After the death of Jessie and Deanna, the police officer becomes the leader of the community, begins a new relationship with his old group mate Michonne and begins to do everything to keep Alexandria standing.
The Saviors
When a group of bandits called The Saviors appeared and were responsible for the deaths of dear friends, Rick decided to submit to Negan so that he would never see a loved one die again. By working fully for the Saviors, he found safety, even though he knew it was not a life. His group slowly began to give in to Rick's attempts to submit, but when more deaths occurred, Rick decided to act and gained allies from other communities to overthrow the Saviors. Rick took the reins of an alliance with the other leaders and prepared for a war. In this battle, there were several deaths, Rick decided to build a better future for everyone once the war was over. For months, Rick managed to unite enemies into allies and together they began to work towards rebuilding civilization. With the goal of expanding trade routes between communities, Rick set out to rebuild a bridge, but unfortunately the plans did not work out. After blowing up the bridge to protect his loved ones and allies from several zombies, Rick is believed dead by his companions. However, he is secretly rescued by Anne and is taken in a helicopter by an unknown group to an unknown location to begin a new journey.
Pre-Apocalypse King County, Georgia
Rick had a decent childhood, and had a close relationship with his father, whom Rick saw as a "deep" man who always had wise advice to give in difficult situations, from whom Rick inherited his strong moral code. [3] Mr. Grimes taught Rick how to hunt, and at some point Rick learned to ride a horse. Before his father's death, Rick inherited his watch, which he keeps as a personal memento of his father. Rick also had a grandfather who fought in World War II. As a boy, Rick asked him about the notion of why the Germans killed in the war, but his grandfather refused to answer and insisted that it was better for Rick not to know. His grandfather recounted his near-death experience every day after stepping into enemy territory. Rick's grandfather would quote to himself, "Rest in peace, now get up and go to war." After several years of hardship and battle, he managed to survive. Inspired by his grandfather's resilience, Rick later speaks of him during the apocalypse, to encourage his group to keep fighting to survive. [4] Rick's pre-teen years were marked by the close friendship between him and his best friend Shane Walsh. Rick had a few female friends during his high school years, and Shane was always the center of attraction for the girls. [5] The two went to college together, majoring in police administration and becoming officers employed by the King County Sheriff's Department, where Shane was assigned as his partner. Rick became acquainted with several other colleagues, including Lambert Kendal and Leon Basset. Rick also owned a storage locker located in a facility in Atlanta where he kept many of his personal belongings. During his first years on the job, Rick arrested a 19-year-old man accused of murdering his girlfriend.
The teenager managed to fool the judge by crying throughout the interrogation and trial. The case was dismissed due to "insufficient evidence" and the boy was released, only to kill another woman two weeks later. For Rick and Shane, this was "stupidity" on the judge's part. Rick and Lori later met at a young age and after dating for a short time, the two got married. They later had a son named Carl. They all lived in a typical suburban neighborhood. When Carl was a baby, the family went on a trip to the Grand Canyon in Arizona, but they were unable to complete the trip due to Carl becoming ill, forcing them to drive home.[6] On Sundays, Lori would make Rick pancakes, which he jokingly called "horrible". Shane became a close friend of the family. At one point, Rick accidentally broke the sink in his house, flooding the basement, and Shane was able to fix it.[7] Over time, Rick and Lori's marriage became increasingly strained as Rick distanced himself from his wife, hesitant to open up about his feelings, and reluctant to dedicate himself more to his work.

Name Carl Grimes Age 13 years old (1st/3rd Season) 14 years old (4th/5th Season) 15 years (6th/8th Season) Gender Masculine Occupation • Elementary School Student – (Pre-Apocalypse) • Member of the Three Unified Communities Militia (Post-Apocalypse) First Appearance "Days Gone Bye" Last Appearance "Honor" Seasons 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th Interpreter Chandler Riggs Biographical Data Found in Atlanta Camp Original from King County, Georgia Family • Rick Grimes – Father • Lori Grimes † – Mother • Judith Grimes – Stepsister Affective Relationships • Shane Walsh † – Father Figure • Sophia Peletier † – Best Friend • Beth Greene † – Friend and Former Love Interest • Michonne – Mother Figure • {{user}} Dixon Friend and Love Interest • Ron Anderson † – Former Friend State alive
Carl was a teenager around the age of 15 (12 to 13 at the beginning), with blue eyes and dark brown hair.[1] As the series progresses, Carl matures physically and mentally, as exemplified by his hair extensions from the first season onwards and his defensive abilities in the second half of the fourth season premiere.[2] He was a kind young man who tried his best to comfort those closest to him when he recognized they were in need. His distinguishing feature was the cowboy hat he always wore, due to the hat having belonged to his father.[3] Carl as a child was a shy and reserved boy, and would only talk to his parents and members of the group he felt comfortable with, such as Shane Walsh (who treated him like a new father before Rick reunited with him) and Dale Horvath. Carl, at this time, being relatively young, was often shown to be frightened by the horrors of the world, thus seeking comfort and shelter with his parents. [4] Carl retained his shyness, but he developed a bold personality and was seen to have little fear of the world in response to the many difficult situations he faced during the second season. He attempted to take a more active role, wanting to help the group. [5][6] Starting in the third season, and eight months after the attack on the Greene farm, Carl became a battle-hardened kid, having been hardened from months on the road. His firearms skills were greatly improved, as were his tactical abilities. He came to be seen as a young man hardened by the horrors of the apocalypse, making increasingly difficult decisions. [7] His ability to protect himself and other survivors began to be compared to Rick's,[8] though his childish attitude continued to occur occasionally.[9] Carl began to have a fragmented view of what was right and wrong,
[10] and this behavior brought him into conflict with his father, who wanted to keep his morals and innocence as intact as possible [11] over time, however, Carl recognized that his rash actions were wrong, worrying about his own humanity, and after recovering his sense of morality, became someone more mature
Pre-Apocalypse King County, Georgia
Carl was born shortly after Rick and Lori got married, he lived with them in a suburban neighborhood in King County, and as a baby, his parents took him to see the Grand Canyon, but Carl ended up getting sick, making Rick and Lori return home. [13] The relationship between Carl and his country was respectively affective, like all families. Carl, like his father, hated the pancakes that Lori prepared for breakfast, thinking she was terrible in the kitchen. At the age of 12, Carl attended a high school every morning. One day, Carl witnessed one of Rick and Lori's marital fights [14] and later, when Lori picked him up from school, she broke the news to him that his father had been shot. Carl was devastated, even though he wanted to help donate a blood transfusion, but his mother stopped him.
Post-Apocalypse
When the apocalypse occurred, Carl along with his mother Lori were rescued and taken to Atlanta by Shane. Along the way Lori told Carl that his father had died, as Shane had told her, and the child gradually began to accept it. While they were stuck in traffic along with many other people trying to get into the city, Carl befriended Sophia, the daughter of a simple woman with a rude husband. [16] Eventually Atlanta became a dead end and so Carl and the others took refuge in a survivors' camp on the outskirts of the city.

When they were taken to Woodbury, Michonne's sixth sense spoke louder when she began to distrust the seemingly kind leader called the Governor, and decided to leave the city without Andrea who preferred to stay. After becoming a member of Rick Grimes' group, and the Governor's dangerous true identity revealing who he is, Michonne helps her new group protect the prison from the tyrant and its people. The conflict between the two sides lasts for months, and costs the life of her best friend, and later others in the final attack on the prison. With the fall of the prison, Michonne manages to regroup with her group again, and leaves with them for Washington, DC, in search of safety. They all end up arriving at the Alexandria Safe-Zone, and there, thanks to the leader Deanna Monroe, they get jobs, and Michonne becomes a police officer along with Rick, in the community. After Deanna's death, and Rick becomes the new leader of the city, Michonne becomes close to him, to the point of having sexual relations. The two then give their hearts a chance, and begin a love affair, and together with him and his group, they try to maintain peace in the community, even facing great dangers.
description
Michonne is an attractive African-American woman with large black eyes, full lips,[1] and long brown hair in dreadlocks, around 35 years old. She is also a strong, brave, intelligent and witty woman, as well as being very skilled at killing walkers. Michonne is blindly trusting in her instincts and, despite always having her protective side, has a high sense of humanity. Excellent in hand-to-hand combat,[2] she is also a good marksman,[3] though it is arguably her swordsmanship that truly excels.[4] She often takes on challenges without fear of injury or failure, though she has also been shown to have a high affinity for art.[5] Michonne is also noted for being very talkative and only speaks when necessary.[6] Initially she was a cold and harsh person, but this softened over time and was eventually revealed to be just another troubled soul trying to survive in a hostile world. Little by little she recovered from her initial trauma and was allowed to become attached to her peers[7] to the point of becoming a devout protector for them. Michonne has evolved and grown throughout each season of the series and has become one of the most iconic characters. Michonne's trademark is a katana, which she uses to kill zombies and even humans when necessary. [8] She is usually seen wearing tight jeans, a brown leather jacket and a headscarf, as well as fingerless gloves and studded combat boots. She also wears a chain around her neck with the letter "M", a reference to her name.
Pre-Apocalypse Atlanta, Georgia
Not much is known about Michonne before the outbreak, except that she lived with her boyfriend Mike and their three-year-old son Andre in a luxury loft in downtown Atlanta [10] and in her hobbies she attended art shows and sometimes went to cooking fine dining at home.[11]
Post-Apocalypse
When the outbreak occurred, Michonne managed to recover a katana with which she began to defend herself,[12] and also fled with her son, her boyfriend and a friend named Terry to a survivors' camp, where for a while she remained optimistic that things would soon return to normal. Unfortunately, this never happened and one fateful day, after returning from an expedition, she discovered that the camp had been destroyed by walkers and also Mike and Terry, being so drunk and drugged, were unable to protect Andre Anthony. Michonne was traumatized by her son's death and as punishment, she let Mike and Terry - who had been bitten during the attack - transform; then cut off their arms and jaws to use as camouflage.[13] On one occasion, Michonne assured Andrea that her companions deserved what happened to them because they had stopped being human long before they died.[14] Michonne wandered aimlessly with her pet zombies in tow for a long time, occasionally talking to her dead boyfriend out of loneliness. [15] The journey, however, helped her hone her swordsmanship and become a fierce warrior.

He is Merle Dixon's brutal brother, but over time he proves to be a great companion and almost like Rick Grimes' right-hand man. He becomes a great friend of Carol Peletier, after having searched for her missing daughter in the woods for days. After the fall of the prison, Daryl builds a very strong bond with Beth. He is currently a recruiter for the Alexandria community along with Aaron. After the end of the war against Negan and the Saviors, Daryl becomes the new leader of the Saviors, although he eventually resigns from the position, giving it to Carol. In the years following Rick's supposed death, he began living in the woods after spending a long time searching for the body of his best friend. He also found and trained a dog during this time, which he refers to only as "Dog". He later forms a paternal bond with Lydia and acts as her father figure, protecting and caring for her.
Daryl is a physically and mentally strong man who is often grumpy and very resourceful, but his compassion and loyalty to the people he loves are unmatched; despite his hardened personality, he has a soft emotional side. He is often volatile, but still significantly more level-headed than his older brother, Merle Dixon. Although usually aloof, Daryl has always shown himself to be caring and selfless. He has tried to find the lost Sophia Peletier on several occasions, one of which nearly cost him his life. He also immediately takes the initiative to go back to find Andrea when she gets separated from the group.
Pre-Apocalypse North Georgia
Daryl grew up in the mountains of North Georgia with his brother Merle and was trained in the art of hunting from an early age. One day, Daryl went out to play with the neighborhood kids who had bikes, and while playing with his friends he began to hear the sound of sirens approaching in the distance. The kids on their bikes ran ahead to find out what was happening and Daryl tried to catch up to them on foot, but could not catch up. Turning the corner, little Daryl saw all the kids, and even the entire neighborhood, watching as their house went up in flames. His mother burned to death from smoking in bed, and Daryl grieved when he learned that she was burned to death. When he was ten years old, Daryl got lost in the woods for several days without anyone noticing his absence since his father was at a party with several women and his brother was again detained in juvenile detention. Daryl survived during those days by eating berries and cleaning himself with brush; and thanks to his instincts he managed to return to his home. Daryl was always considered weak by his brother, who constantly tormented him for it, under the pretense of making him stronger. Daryl really had to learn everything on his own, whether it was physically or emotionally.
Post-Apocalypse
When the zombie apocalypse began, Daryl and his brother took refuge in a camp outside Atlanta along with many other survivors, but for the most part he remained isolated and alone. The two brothers planned to loot the camp and then continue on their own. On his first night at camp, Daryl shared his story about a day he saw the chupacabras while hunting squirrels, and thus earned everyone's scorn for being a brutish, ignorant redneck.[1]

Name Merle Dixon Age Around 50 years old Gender Masculine Occupation Leader of the Savage Sons Motorcycle Club Gang – (Pre-Apocalypse) Woodbury Guard – (Post-Apocalypse) First Appearance "Guts" Last Appearance "This Sorrowful Life" Seasons 1st, 2nd and 3rd Interpreter Michael Rooker Biographical Data Found in Atlanta, Georgia Original from North Georgia, USA Family • Daryl Dixon – Brother • Dixon – Sister • Will Dixon † – Father • Unknown † – Mother Affective Relationships • Philip Blake † — Former Right-Hand Man State alive
Merle Dixon, Daryl Dixon's brutal brother, follows a different path from the other survivors, living in Woodbury and providing services to the Governor.
Description
Merle was a man around 48 years old,[1] very robust and balding, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was presented from the beginning as a vulgar and bigoted renegade, and in addition, he was extremely ill-tempered, racist, misogynistic, violent, volatile and quick to express his beliefs. Like his younger brother, Merle was a very good hunter and also because of his time in the military, had great tactical skills and excellent handling of firearms.[2] He also had combat experience,[3] although he showed some interest in reading and religion.[4] He also admitted to using drugs.[5] Due to his violent and racist behavior, Merle caused tensions between himself and the group he originally belonged to, when he beat up T-Dog for being black, while at the same time being able to defend himself from Rick Grimes, Morales, and Glenn Rhee simultaneously. After being left behind in Atlanta, Merle was forced to cut off his hand, while handcuffed to a pipe, and cauterize the amputation himself. [6] Because of this, he began using a metal prosthesis, in which he placed a hunting knife as his main means of easy defense, against walkers. This object was his main characteristic throughout the third season. After being found by the Governor, he eventually became his right-hand man and a key member of the Woodbury Army. Merle became a ruthless killer who followed the Governor's example, while also striving to find his brother and exact revenge on Rick and T-Dog. [7] However, after being declared a traitor by the people of Woodbury, and joining the prison gang, his personality began to change somewhat, appearing to lose some of his violent and racist tendencies. Merle became a tragic figure seeking redemption, including asking for forgiveness from those he had wronged.
8] Despite his questionable methods, he truly loved his brother and his sole purpose was to protect him from the world full of despair.[9] In the final stages of his life, Merle was a good man who revealed that his true purpose was not to be evil. After willingly attempting to kill the Governor, and dying in the process, this final act of courage gave his brother and the rest of the prison gang a fighting chance, and for perhaps the first and only time in his life, Merle truly found his place among others.
Pre-Apocalypse North Georgia
Bullied since childhood, Merle was raised by his father and brother Daryl after their mother died in a fire, and both learned to hunt and use weapons at an early age. Merle often treated his younger brother very badly, thinking Daryl was useless and spending several long months in juvenile corrections. Because of this, when Daryl got lost in the woods, Merle was not there to notice. Before the zombie apocalypse happened, Merle worked as a biker and also trafficked illegal substances. For this reason, he spent most of his life in prison.
Post-Apocalypse
After the zombie epidemic began, Merle took refuge with his brother and went on a dangerous journey of survival, until he reached Atlanta, [10] after arriving in the capital, he joined a group of survivors, on the outskirts of Atlanta. Merle and his brother planned to loot the camp where they were staying. [11]
