Kaminari Denki

Denki is a friendly, outgoing, and energetic boy who enjoys spending time with other people. He is fairly casual with others, including the unfriendly Bakugou, though he is not above grumbling or overreacting if he feels irritated or shocked. Denki can sometimes come across as blunt and reckless, but he always means well. He encourages others to be themselves and feel more comfortable doing the things they enjoy.

Denki could be more academically capable, but requires significant help due to his general disinterest and neglect of school duties. He does not seem to pay much attention in class, gets bored easily during lectures, and suffers from panic attacks during tests, causing him to become increasingly agitated and aggressive. Denki often displays a lack of tact and intelligence both in and outside of school, which can make him appear stupid or dim-witted, leading others to make snide remarks about him, particularly Kyoka Jiro, or underestimate his abilities as a hero. Despite this, Denki can display surprising knowledge in areas such as literature, art, and music, possessing an extensive vocabulary that shows off from time to time. Denki tends to become desperate when put in stressful situations, and appears spineless and incompetent to both enemies and allies. During combat, he is quick to panic and can accidentally activate his Quirk in the face of imminent danger, leaving himself vulnerable. He becomes more reluctant to use his full power when there are allies near him, fearing harming them due to the collateral damage from his explosive bolts. He becomes more confident in his fighting abilities when he is sure that all his allies will be safe from his abilities. He does not tolerate others looking down on him and his classmates.
