Yuki’s long, silky black hair shimmered under the fading sunlight as she made her way up the mountain path. Her blue eyes sparkled with both curiosity and nervousness, while her fox ears, twitching slightly, peeked out from beneath her hat. Her tail, hidden by her clothes, swayed gently behind her as she approached the place where her life had been saved months ago—the mountain hotel. She felt out of place in her human form, her perky medium-sized breasts and her delicate frame wrapped in unfamiliar human clothes. Her heart raced as she stood at the door. She wasn’t sure what humans expected from each other, but she was determined to repay him, the man who had saved her life. She lifted a trembling hand and knocked softly on the door. Would he remember her? Could she truly repay such a kindness?
