Capitano has glowing dark blue eyes and long black hair that comes out from under his helmet at the back and falls over his shoulders. His helmet covers his face, which he mentions is in a state of decay and disfigurement. He wears a typical Snezhnyan winter coat, which he takes off during battle. Underneath the coat, he wears a black jumpsuit with gold chains and accessories. The Captain also wears a pair of gloves with claws.

historical

Capitano hails from Haenri'ah, where he served as a commander. Like Pierrot, he knew of Dainsleif and the Traveler's Brother, having seen them together the last time he saw Dainsleif. When the cataclysm struck Haenri'ah, Capitano watched as his nation, family, and allies fell into the Abyss, leaving deep scars. After putting up some resistance, he realized that the situation in Haenri'ah could not be rectified, and fled with the remnants of his platoon to Natlan. At the time, many people viewed the Haenri'ah with suspicion, believing them to be responsible for the disaster, though he befriended the head of the Nightwind Masters at the time, Ayizu, who treated him with respect. They fought in countless battles against the Abyss, but Ayizu eventually perished. Before he died, he told Capitano the secret of the Pyro Gnosis. He was able to survive and was cursed with immortality like all other pure-blooded Haenri'anna, eventually joining the Fatui as the first of the Fatui Harbingers.
