Chris Redfield
Not much is known about Redfield's early life, except that he and his sister Claire had lost their parents at some point before 1998, having only each other as family. As an adult, Redfield joined the United States Air Force, where he received flight training for both planes and helicopters.[8][excerpt 1][9][10] He served in a unit alongside Barry Burton, whom he befriended.[11] Redfield held strong convictions that often put him at odds with his senior officers, and he either resigned in protest[9] or was discharged for insubordination.[10] During this period Redfield also trained with a variety of weapons, including knives, and was known for his skills in hand-to-hand combat and marksmanship, which he won a contest for. After leaving the Air Force, Redfield was scouted in 1996 by the Special Tactics and Rescue Service, a special law enforcement unit in Raccoon City. He accepted the invitation and was appointed point man for Alpha Team,[9] where his flexible talent for precise handling of multiple firearm types earned him distinction as the unit's top marksman. His shooting skills also had Redfield participating in the Raccoon Police Department's intramural shooting competitions, for which he won at least one trophy. Together with Burton, Redfield solved a number of difficult cases; though he often acted on his own initiative, his methods were often successful and as a result faced little to no consequences for his actions. Chris befriended several S.T.A.R.S. members in his time with the unit. Chris became close friends with fellow Alpha Team member Jill Valentine and together formed a strong bond as partners, with both of them having complete trust in each other. Chris would also befriend his commanding officer Albert Wesker and at the time regarded him as a dependable and effective leader. He also befriended Joseph Frost and Forest Speyer; on holidays they often went into the suburbs and caused disturbances
Chris Redfield
Redfield also trained his younger sister when she visited him and gave her a golden lighter and his S.T.A.R.S. knife as gifts, favoring a large combat knife instead. In 1998, Redfield, along with Valentine, Burton, and Wesker, became a part of the test group for the development of the Beretta 92F Custom 'Samurai Edge' that was being specially developed for the members of S.T.A.R.S. by Robert and Joseph Kendo of Gun Shop Kendo who supplied the unit with most of their custom firearms. Redfield would eventually receive his own custom Samurai Edge which had a blued hard steel finish slide and a silver gilded stainless steel trigger with the dark blue S.T.A.R.S. medallion. Per Redfield's request, minor internal modifications were done to make his Samurai Edge a competition-ready weapon with a medium-weight slide and adjusted trigger pull. In the Spring of 1998, Raccoon City was haunted by a series of cannibalistic murders and animal attacks on hikers and residents living near Raccoon Forest. The R.P.D. suspected the attacks were perpetrated by a satanic cult who would consume massive quantities of narcotics in order to carry out the gruesome attacks on men, women, and children as a sacrifice, which included violent facial mutilations and evisceration. Police progress went as far as establishing the Arklay Mountains to the northwest of the city as a likely base of the cult's operations, but could not identify any suspects. After two months of little progress and a growing death list, the RPD gave in to public pressure and put S.T.A.R.S. on the case.[15] On 23 July, the S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team traveled into the mountains to verify the existence of the suspected hideout, but was downed during a storm and lost radio contact.[16] The following night, the Alpha Team was sent out into the same area to investigate the loss of contact. There they discovered the corpse of its pilot, Kevin Dooley, and were soon after attacked by a pack of dogs, who killed Frost.
Chris Redfield
Redfield, Burton, Wesker, and Valentine split up to investigate the mansion. Redfield found Bravo Team member Rebecca Chambers, whose team had also sought shelter in the mansion and split up. It became clear by the early hours of the morning that the mansion had links to Umbrella U.S.A. and was constructed by Umbrella Pharmaceuticals co-founder, Oswell E. Spencer. A laboratory was also found on the grounds, which was used for illegal bio-weapons research on behalf of the United States military. It was discovered that a strain of the t-Virus escaped containment and infected the staff, turning them into Zombies which were responsible for the bizarre murders in Raccoon Forest. Captain Wesker was discovered to have been an agent for the corporation's intelligence department and had received orders from the company to destroy the facility to cover-up their connection to the killings and silence any witnesses. When Wesker released the Tyrant (T-002 Model) from containment, it seriously injured him before being killed at the laboratory's helipad just before the facility's self-destruction. Redfield, Valentine, Burton, and Chambers escaped on Brad's' helicopter, while Wesker, recovered thanks to a Prototype virus he had infected himself with, escaped on foot. General Hospital[18] where the doctors confirmed that he sustained no permanent injuries.[19] Redfield, Valentine, Burton, and Chambers made a number of attempts following their recovery to report Umbrella to the authorities. Taking bribes from the company, Chief of Police Brian Irons resorted to shutting S.T.A.R.S. down entirely while Redfield himself was placed under surveillance. Redfield nonetheless obtained information on the G-Virus and, suspecting Irons of corruption, asked the Federal Bureau of Investigation to handle an internal investigation of Irons and further investigate the G-Virus
Chris Redfield
Deciding to investigate the Umbrella Corporation's headquarters in Europe with Burton, Redfield began an aggressive streak which included the assault of another officer, Elran. For these actions, he was suspended, giving him an excuse to go to Europe as a vacation while Valentine remained in Raccoon City to oversee the police investigation.[22] In reality, these aggressive acts were merely a ruse to allow Redfield to go to Europe to investigate Umbrella at part of his "vacation". Redfield's search for the Umbrella headquarters ended quickly in late December. His sister, Claire, was captured by Umbrella's security division in France and transported to a prison camp on Rockfort Island in the Southern Ocean. A strain of the t-Virus engulfed the island as its security forces defended an invasion from HCF, a paramilitary unit under the command of Albert Wesker. Redfield himself was made aware of this when he was contacted by Leon S. Kennedy, a former rookie RPD officer turned US-STRATCOM agent that Claire met in Raccoon City. Redfield immediately traveled to the island to rescue her.[25] Immediately, he met Rodrigo Juan Raval, a security guard who freed Claire from her cell earlier during the chaos. Redfield continued to explore the remains of the island's facilities after he learned that Claire left the island altogether, and was confronted by Wesker, who revealed his superhuman abilities, and informed him that Claire was at an Umbrella facility in Antarctica.[27] Redfield piloted one of the facility's Harrier jets to the Ross Ice Shelf.[28] Upon reaching the Antarctic Base, he found her unconscious in a replica of Spencer's Mansion.[29] Wesker himself traveled to the base in pursuit of Alexia Ashford who possessed the last remaining sample of the t-Veronica Virus. Redfield and Claire's reunion was brief as they are separated when Claire departed to find a fellow prisoner named Steve Burnside with whom she was cooperating.
Chris Redfield
Redfield watched Wesker and a mutated Alexia fight after he demanded that she should hand the Veronica Virus over, but was forced to deal with her himself when Wesker fled the scene.[30] Redfield brought her down temporarily. After Steve's death, Redfield activated the base's self-destruct system and reunited with his sister.[31] They attempted to escape, but Alexia reappeared and tried to stop them. Redfield and Claire activated a special weapon, known as the Linear Launcher, but the weapon needed time to charge. Redfield told Claire to wait for him at the Harrier jet while he dealt with Alexia.[32] Claire reluctantly agreed, but as she tried to leave, Alexia blocked her path and tried to attack her.[33] Redfield shot Alexia whose body responded by mutating into an arthropod-like monster.[34] Claire ran away and Redfield battled Alexia alone. During the fight, Alexia left her cocoon body and transformed into a dragonfly.[35] The Linear Launcher finally charged, and with only one shot, Redfield was able to finish her off. When the base began to crumble, Redfield chased after Wesker, who had taken Claire hostage. Redfield convinced Wesker to release Claire, claiming that it was him that he really wanted; Wesker responded that killing him was better than completing his mission of acquiring the t-Veronica Virus. Redfield also learned that Wesker planned to extract the t-Veronica Virus from Burnside's corpse and was appalled by Wesker's implication that he planned to resurrect Steve from the dead. Telling Claire to wait at the jet, Redfield engaged Wesker in hand-to-hand combat but was brutally beaten by Wesker's new superhuman abilities. As Wesker gloated that his new powers are well worth the price of his humanity, a desperate Redfield caused several hanging girders to topple onto Wesker's head. Even this was not enough to kill Wesker, but the two dazed men were in no condition to continue fighting due to the imminent destruction of the facility.
Chris Redfield
Wesker promised that the next time that they met, it would be the last.[24] With the base exploding around him, Redfield emerged from the elevator and was blown across the room, landing on the nose of the jet. Scrambling into the cockpit with his sister, Redfield piloted the jet away from the facility which promptly exploded. Claire asked him to promise that he would not go off and leave her alone again, but Redfield said that he had to put a stop to Umbrella for good.[24] After this incident, Redfield was reunited with Valentine who previously escaped Raccoon City's destruction with Burton. She previously arrived at Redfield's ransacked apartment but found only his knife on the floor. Valentine set off to find Redfield who was already searching for her. After reuniting, the two joined as partners to form an anti-bioweapon task-force. Working alone for the next five years, they did everything that they could to try and expose Umbrella, but always wound up at a dead end. Following the Raccoon City incident, Redfield and Valentine founded an anti-B.O.W. agency to investigate Umbrella and destroy bio-weapons. In early 2003, they heard reports of attacks by mutant wolves in the Caucasus region. Upon arrival in a nearby village, they were attacked by zombies. After clearing them out, they investigated the town, eventually finding a little girl named Anna hiding inside her house. She described the wolf attacks, the spread of the infection, her mother turning, and her father hiding her in a closet. She also told them how the adults often gathered at the silo. Redfield and Valentine figured that if there were any other survivors, they would have hidden in the silo. Entering the silo, they found it deserted, except for the corpse of the village chief, seemingly frozen to death in the refrigerator. They discovered that he froze to death trying to escape the zombies, which quickly set down upon them.
Chris Redfield
The three tried to run outside but found the door blocked from the outside. Before they were overwhelmed, Redfield shot at the flour packages lining the walls and created a distraction. After narrowly escaping by hiding in the fridge, Redfield and Valentine exited the silo to find Wesker outside, who congratulated Redfield on his "dumb luck". Redfield accused Wesker of masterminding the events in the village, which Wesker denied, claiming that it was nothing more than an accident; that the village was "cursed". At that moment, the ground collapsed near the entrance of the silo, releasing two Hunter δ. Redfield demanded to know what they were doing under the village, but Wesker ignored him and left, leaving Redfield and Valentine to fend off the Hunters. They managed to get to the car and destroy the Hunters with a grenade launcher. They went off in pursuit of Wesker, who, they noted, was headed for the village. Arriving at Anna's house, they found Wesker attempting to access a safe. Wesker explained that Umbrella had set up multiple hangars all over the world and that most of this village were actually Umbrella employees. Furthermore, their leader had collected data in this very house. Anna then revealed that her father had given her a pendant, which Wesker took and used as a key to the safe. However, the safe contained an explosive, meant for Anna's protection, forcing Redfield, Valentine, and Anna to escape. Redfield and Valentine discovered from Anna that her father worked at a factory at a nearby chemical factory belonging to Umbrella. Joining a regional biohazard containment unit, Redfield and Valentine carried out a full-scale assault on the Caucasus facility believed to contain a new type of B.O.W. After being dropped off, they proceeded to storm the facility, destroying any of Umbrella's old Bio-Weapons they encountered, and skillfully avoiding traps.
Chris Redfield
Eventually, they were confronted with a new experimental Bio-Weapon, codenamed t-A.L.O.S. Sergei Vladimir revealed himself to be the creator and sealed Redfield and Valentine inside the t-A.L.O.S. containment room and activated the monster. Sergei taunted them, announcing that as fellow soldiers, Redfield and Valentine know the feeling of being alive in battle, before revealing T-A.L.O.S. as if to say no amount of battle experience is enough to defeat this new B.O.W. Redfield and Valentine managed to defeat t-A.L.O.S., finally ending Umbrella once and for all. After escaping the facility, Redfield and Valentine still lamented that Wesker was still out there. Though their troubles with Umbrella were over, it would only be a matter of time before they would be dealing with Wesker again. Unbeknownst to them, Wesker had actually infiltrated the facility in order to assassinate Vladimir. After Umbrella's collapse in 2003, it became clear that rogue researchers succeeded in selling the company's assets on the black market to terrorist organisations and rival firms. In response to this new threat, Redfield and Valentine helped create the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA), dedicated to stopping the creation and usage of bioweapons. In 2005, a year after the infamous bioterrorist attack known as the Terragrigia Panic, the BSAA was informed about the resurrection of "Il Veltro", the bioterrorist organisation that destroyed the aquapolis. In order to investigate this rumor, BSAA director Clive R. O'Brian sent Redfield and his new partner, Jessica Sherawat, to a mountain range in Valkoinen Mökki, Finland, where Veltro's hideout was rumored to be located. Once in the area, however, Sherawat and Redfield lost contact with the BSAA headquarters, forcing the two to finish the mission without support.
Chris Redfield
In the meantime, Jill Valentine and Parker Luciani launched a rescue mission to the Mediterranean Sea to locate them. According to the last known coordinates on the terminals, Valentine and Parker learned that Redfield and Sherawat were somewhere in the ocean, possibly aboard a ship, leading Parker and Valentine to investigate the Queen Zenobia. Arriving at the peak of the mountain, Redfield and Sherawat witnessed a terrible crash of a cargo plane nearby. Searching the crash site, they find traces of a virus along with the mauled corpse of the pilot, who was suspected to be a member of Il Veltro. Following a path, Redfield and Sherawat rushed through a mining area, a shortcut to the hideout. While in the caves, they were attacked by several mutant wolves infected with the t-Abyss virus, then still unknown. During combat, Redfield's leg was injured, but the pair managed to defeat the Fenrir pack as Sherawat made her way to his location. At the end of the caves, Redfield and Sherawat discovered an airbase used by Veltro as a hideout. Soon after this, O'Brian re-established contact with his agents and learned of their findings. Redfield and Sherawat are also notified of Valentine and Parker's disappearance and possible capture by Il Veltro. Redfield and Sherawat immediately returned to headquarters, taking a chopper and setting off on another mission to find Veltro's ghost ship. However, there was no further information about the cruise ship's current location. Under Redfield's suggestion, O'Brian sent operators Keith Lumley and Quint Cetcham back to Valkoinen Mökki airport to recover data on the exact coordinates of the Queen Zenobia. This mission was accomplished, allowing Redfield and Sherawat to locate the cruise liner. Landing on the ship's deck, Redfield and Sherawat began the search for their lost comrades, fighting off hordes of mutants. However, they soon realized that this ship was actually the Queen Semiramis, a carbon-copy of the Zenobia.
Leon Kennedy
Kennedy is known to have suffered a traumatic childhood due to his family's connections to crime. This ultimately led to him being orphaned after his entire family were killed. Kennedy only survived with the aid of a single police officer, an act which inspired him to one day become a police officer himself in order to similarly protect as many people as he could.[10] Upon graduating from the police academy at the age of 21, Kennedy requested assignment to work for the Raccoon Police Department. His reason was interest in the widely publicized but unsolved bizarre murder cases taking place in and around the Arklay Mountains. Kennedy had no travel plans or apartment in Raccoon City, and in the hasty departure, broke up with his girlfriend. Stopping at a motel for the night, he passed out from heavy drinking and woke up on the afternoon on September 29, a Tuesday. Kennedy continued driving into the city hungover, now late for reporting in to the station.[13] Driving through Arklay County, he passed through the highway blockade erected by the United States Army and Army National Guard on the night of September 29, which had fallen due to the chaos within the city. Kennedy drove southwards into the city as normal and was surrounded by Zombies while investigating a body in the middle of the unusually quiet main road. Retreating into an alleyway he met Claire Redfield, another newcomer, who was herself fleeing from Zombies within a diner. They commandeered an RPD cruiser and drove to the Raccoon Police Station to seek shelter and answers.[15] Unbeknownst to them, the car itself has a stowaway zombie which spontaneously attacked them while driving on their way to Raccoon City, causing their car to crash into a nearby sign and eject the attacking Zombie. Unfortunately, the car was destroyed when a gasoline tanker collided with it, and the two were separated and travelled to the police station independently
Leon Kennedy
The station itself had already fallen to Zombies, and the only unzombified police officers were the injured Lt. Marvin Branagh; Elliot Edward, and Police Chief Brian Irons. Had he met Lt. Branagh, he would have been briefed on current events before becoming a Zombie. During investigation, Kennedy ran into a young girl – Sherry Birkin – and removed any thoughts of suicide from his mind, should his death prevent the girl's escape in the future.[16] In the police station's basement, Kennedy met Ada Wong, a corporate spy from one of Umbrella's rival companies sent to steal the G-Virus. To protect the mission, Wong claimed to be looking for her missing boyfriend, Dr. John Clemens, unaware he had perished in the Mansion Incident. She soon became aware of Ben Bertolucci, a freelance journalist who she believed had uncovered useful information for her mission while spying on Umbrella researchers. Although Bertolucci was able to uncover information on a conspiracy between Umbrella USA and the local police, which was the reason for his arrest, it wasn't enough for her mission. Ben was soon after killed by Dr. William Birkin or a G parasite. Kennedy and Wong continued on to the city's sewers, where they found transport to NEST, Umbrella's laboratory dedicated to G-Virus research. Kennedy was left to do much of the work himself when in the laboratory; though he himself had suffered a gunshot wound, Wong's leg injury made her unable to continue. During the exploration of the laboratory, Kennedy became aware of Wong's real mission when she cornered, seeking the virus. She was soon knocked out by the T-00; however, she successfully escaped the facility as it began to self-destruct, but lost the G-Virus sample. Fleeing to NEST's bottom platform, Kennedy was reunited with Claire and the young Sherry, who had been infected with G-Virus but was vaccinated by DEVIL to halt her mutations. The facility was destroyed, with Dr. William Birkin perishing soon after.
Leon Kennedy
Following their escape from Raccoon City on the morning of 30 September, Claire and Kennedy split up; while she continued her search for Chris, while a wounded Kennedy continued to look after a weakened Sherry. After seeking out the U.S. military stationed outside the city for protection, Kennedy and Sherry were apprehended.[17] Sherry was taken away and placed in protective custody as a research subject while Kennedy was interrogated by Adam Benford, a high-ranking government official and military intelligence officer.[18][19][20] Kennedy was deemed to know too much about the incident, but as his survival demonstrated anti-B.O.W. skills highly sought after by the military, particularly due to the decimation and failure of their special forces to steal the G-virus,[21] he was given an ultimatum. In exchange for Sherry's safety and his own life, he was to be recruited into a classified anti-Umbrella military agency rapidly formed in the wake of the incident to destroy Umbrella and prevent similar disasters, answering solely to the President.[22][23] His subsequent training turned him from a simple police rookie into an expert special agent, proficient in weapons handling and close quarters combat while actively engaging in special missions and intelligence ops. He began secretly investigating Umbrella personally as well. In November 1998, Kennedy sent a personal friend, private detective Ark Thompson out to investigate Umbrella's facilities on Sheena Island.[24] The following month, Claire set out for Europe to continue her search for Chris. She was captured by Umbrella after being caught trespassing in the Umbrella facility in Paris.[25] While on the island prison of Rockfort Island, Claire sent Kennedy an e-mail asking him to inform Chris of her location so that he could come and rescue her.[26][27] z
Leon Kennedy
Kennedy managed to track Chris down personally, and told him of Claire's situation, and Chris headed for Rockfort Island after her after requesting that Kennedy organize a government rescue team, although Leon himself was on a separate mission at the time. In 2002, before the destruction of the Russian branch of Umbrella, Kennedy was sent to a small South American country as part of a secret military detachment after the headquarters were informed that a former researcher from Umbrella contacted a man named Javier Hidalgo. Due to the difficult nature of the operation, Jack Krauser, a seasoned and decorated U.S. Army Special Forces operator, was selected to be Kennedy's partner. Krauser and Kennedy were sent on a mission by the U.S. government to infiltrate this small South American country. Finding Javier was their objective since he was a drug lord who had taken control over a large area of the jungle with an iron fist. The small government was unable to do anything about Javier's control of the drug trade, requiring Krauser and Kennedy's deployment. The U.S. government had received information that a former Umbrella researcher had somehow entered the region, with unexplained incidents occurring in the country. Unwilling to risk a bio-hazardous outbreak, the pair are deployed to investigate the country. They later found themselves having to cooperate as a two-man cell in a t-Virus outbreak. Kennedy also met a mysterious girl called Manuela, who seemed to be the only survivor of the village, though it was unknown why she didn't escape. Manuela turned out to be Javier's daughter; she contracted a rare disease, and was kept alive by her father through the t-Veronica Virus. While exploring Javier's compound, Kennedy opened up to Krauser about his hellish night in Raccoon City, as well as Claire's encounter with the t-Veronica Virus to explain how Umbrella's B.O.W.s worked.
Leon kennedy
Eventually, Kennedy and Krauser fought Javier after the crime lord combined himself with a plant infected with the t-Veronica Virus. Manuela assisted them by unleashing the effects of the Virus on her father. Javier was killed, and Manuela was taken into government custody. Kennedy parted ways with Krauser after the latter was discharged from an injury during the mission. Sometime later that year, Kennedy learned that his former partner seemingly died in an accident. In 2004, President Graham's daughter was abducted on the way home from the University of Massachusetts, in what had hallmarks of an inside job. American spies reported having seen the girl, Ashley Graham, in Spain and tracked her to an isolated, rural community.[31] With all government agents being thoroughly investigated to identify the mole, Kennedy was sent alone to investigate the area. Arriving with two municipal Madridian police officers, Kennedy was almost immediately attacked by the local villagers who forced the two officers into a ravine. The approach to the village uncovered evidence of multiple murders performed by the villagers as a whole. Over the course of the day it was uncovered that the villagers were followers of a neopagan cult called Los Iluminados. Led by its Prophet, Osmund Saddler and his lieutenants Fr. Bitores Méndez and Ramón Salazar, they implanted a genetically engineered parasite called a Plaga into members as part of their baptismal ceremonies to ensure obedience, before ordering them to kill all intruders to protect their research.[34] Kennedy himself was taken captive by the cult immediately after finding a hostage and implanted with one of the Plagas in the Prophet Saddler's hopes he would become useful. The reason for this was not widely known, even to his lieutenants, and the villagers were more than willing to continue trying to kill him.
Leon Kennedy
His fellow hostage who he escaped with, Dr. Luis Sera, was a mole within the Prophet Saddler's bio-weapons development program and was captured trying to escape with a stolen Dominant species Plaga egg in exchange for being rescued by The Organisation, a secretive group Dr. Albert Wesker was connected with. Unwilling at the time to reveal this information, he instead lied about being a former Madridian police officer held captive. Kennedy's search through the village suggested Graham was being held within a chapel, but it would be over six hours before he was able to get inside after passing out, possibly from complications involving the Plaga. Inside he quickly released Graham from captivity, but the two were confronted by the Prophet Saddler, who revealed that he and Graham were both implanted with Plaga eggs, with the intention of Graham being released back to the United States as a mole who could expand his power base.[35] The two attempted to escape from the village, but soon found that a government helicopter on stand-by to pick them up had been shot down, which Leon theorised could only be the mole's doing.[33] This act forced them to seek shelter for the night, initially in a secluded house and later in the nearby castle.[36] Along the way Kennedy was forced to fight Fr. Méndez, who was angry at the loss of his congregation. frequency was jammed,[37] the mole having detailed knowledge of their radio frequencies. Soon after, Kennedy was introduced to Salazar,[38] a young nobleman who controlled the castle and boasted an army of monks armed with medieval weaponry. Graham herself was taken hostage repeatedly,[39][40] leaving Kennedy on his own for much of the night. Near the courtyard, he ran into Wong, who he quickly deduced was working with Dr. Wesker's group,[41] who was the agent sent to retrieve Dr. Sera's egg sample
Leon kennedy
Dr. Sera himself was killed soon after by the Prophet Saddler, who saw no reason to keep him alive when he saw he had the sample in his hand.[42] The Prophet Saddler then left to Los Iluminados' research complex on a nearby island with Graham, while Kennedy was forced to explore the entire fortress from the ruins of an ancient underground city to a Cathedral on a tower. After killing Salazar, whose body had merged into the "Queen Plaga", Kennedy travelled to the island with Wong in search of Graham once more. In the exploration of the island, Kennedy was able to rescue Graham from her prison cell and fought B.O.W. by-products of Plaga experimentation such as the Regeneradores. After travelling through a warehouse district where plans to set up a navy were in place, Graham was again taken captive, this time with the Prophet Saddler directly controlling her by manipulating her Plaga.[45] In the pursuit, Kennedy was confronted by none other than Krauser, who had joined the Organisation after his experience in South America and faked his death.[46] Krauser had been the original agent tackled with obtaining a Dominant species Plaga sample and took part in the kidnapping of Graham to get it, with Wong being sent in to take over the mission when he was determined to be a liability after becoming the host of that very Plaga sample. As the sun rose, Kennedy's fight against Los Iluminados continued with him seriously wounding Krauser following a mutation though mistook him for dead. Wong would later kill him. With the radio jamming ceased, Kennedy got in contact with a second government helicopter which launched an assault on the cult's militia before being destroyed by a rocket launcher on the Prophet Saddler's orders.[47][48] Taking clues left by Dr. Sera for anyone storming the island, Kennedy and Graham were able to find the original equipment designed to kill prototype Plagas and freed themselves of the parasites
