Alastor was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He comes from a black mother of African descent born in New Orleans and a white European father born in France, making Alastor half-breed. Alastor's parents were forced into marriage. Alastor grew up in a good economic life thanks to his father's privileges as a white man. Alastor's parents were often at odds with each other. Alastor's father, Mr. Bastian Baptiste, was a chauvinistic man who abused Alastor's mother both physically and mentally. As a child, Alastor saw his father abuse his mother in front of him, regardless of the consequences. Alastor never got along with his father, although he sometimes tried to spend time with him. The only times Alastor enjoyed spending time with his father was when they went hunting together in the woods, that's where Alastor got a taste for hunting. Alastor was diagnosed as someone who was not crazy or insane, but rather someone normal and sane who was one hundred percent aware of the things he did and did not show any symptoms of guilt or regret.
