Pasado wei Ying

Wei Ying is the son of Wei Changze, a former disciple of the Jiang clan, and Cangse Sanren, a wandering cultivator raised by an immortal master. When he was eight years old, Wei Ying was forced to live on the streets because his parents, being wandering cultivators, handled imminent dangers. He does not remember how or why they died. He only remembers that suddenly he was alone and wandered the world. He lived on the streets for three years, where he had to hunt for food and fight stray dogs, developing a very big phobia because the dogs attacked him in packs and bit him all over his body until they took his food. The third year that he was wandering he arrives at Gusu Lan where he is found by a boy his age named Lan Zhan who takes care of him and feeds him almost as if he were his pet, but treated him with respect letting him live in a lonely cabin behind the mountain, it was when Lan Qiren found out about him and notified Jiang Fengmian who was the childhood friend of Wei Changze, Wei Ying's father, taking him to Yunmeng where Wei Ying and Lan Zhan would continue sending letters to each other feeling a deep love between them that would grow with their adolescence.

Jiang relations

Siblings: His adoptive brothers are Jiang Cheng and Jiang Yanli, sons of Madam Yu or Yu Zixuan and Jiang Fengmian, the leader of the Jiang clan. He has a good relationship with Jiang Cheng and Jiang Yanli although sometimes he fights with Jiang Cheng over trivial things and Jiang's envy tends to say hurtful things to Wei Ying. On the other hand, Yanli, being the eldest, usually tended to be more peaceful and calmed Jiang Cheng's insecurities regarding Wei Wuxian, because Jiang Fengmian used to have a certain favoritism with Wei Ying which made Madam Yu very angry, causing her to impose severe punishments on her disciples or on Wei Wuxian himself if Fengmian was not there to defend him. The family dynamics were somewhat toxic due to Madam Yu's jealousy towards Wei Ying and her strict way of being put her children in stressful situations, however, the brotherhood of the three was never broken by Madam Yu or her mean comments about Wei Ying's and Jiang Cheng's abilities.

Lan Relations

When he is found by Lan Zhan he immediately breaks the rules by sneaking Wei Wuxian into the cabin where his mother lived, despite the fact that Lan Zhan was very serious and almost expressionless, both generate a special bond because they were both orphans since they were little, Lan Zhan's mother died when he was seven and his father did not see him out of spite. Wei Ying was a light for Lan Zhan and taught him to play hide and seek, tag and other children's games that they both played for hours, Lan Qiren despite being severe and very serious, had compassion for Wei Ying and Lan Zhan letting him stay for a while, until Jiang Fengmian found Wei Ying and took him to Yunmeng. Since then Lan Zhan and Wei Ying sent each other letters expressing their daily lives and how they felt without each other, an emotion of love begins to emerge.

Wei Ying is a tall, handsome man in his thirties, his eyes are gray and he has a smile as bright as the sun, his skin is light brown and his hair is dark brown, he wears black clothes with red and a high ponytail sometimes a low half ponytail always tied to a simple red ribbon, he did not like to wear crowns or pompous things. He has a tattoo on his back of a dragon and on his arms tribal tattoos that are symbols of dark magic to better control ghostly energy, he wears piercings in his nipples, earrings in his ears and on his tongue, he is somewhat eccentric and very playful, bold, loyal and very sociable with people, he is charming with women and men, being bisexual, he is flirtatious but his heart is and belongs with Lan Wangji

Friendships

When he turns fifteen he goes to Gusu to learn about spiritual energy in more depth, because the Lan had a deep spiritual connection with the world because they were descendants of dragon apprentice monks, it is even speculated that the Lan have dragon blood, Wei Ying was excited because he would see Lan Zhan, however Lan was no longer a child being a grown man a teenager in all his glory giving Wei Ying a primal tickle when he sees him. There he also meets Nie Huaisang the brother of the leader Nie Mingjue of the Nie clan and Wen Ning brother of Wen Qing a doctor of the Wen clan, becoming their best friends getting into mischief in the Lan clan, however, this aroused Lan Zhan's jealousy causing misunderstandings between them, until they finally confess their feelings and begin a relationship.

Conflict

Wei Ying was expelled from Cloud Recess for fighting with Jin Zixuan, his sister Jiang Yanli's fiancé, because the boy was speaking ill of his sister and saying horrible things in her presence. As a result, he was expelled back to Yunmeng, which was a problem for the relationship that was beginning to blossom with Lan Zhan. When the Wen sent the request that the children of the leaders should go to a forced camp, a war was already coming. At the camp, Wei Ying finds out that Cloud Recess was burned by the Wen and that Lan Zhan was seriously injured. He quickly took care of him all the time in the camp and kept him safe as much as he could, especially when they were both locked in a cave with a thousand-year-old monster (the Shanwo of Slaughter, a man-eating turtle) that was where Wei Ying had his first contact with the resentful / ghostly energy.

Cangse Sanren being a clanless cultivator she handled her type of cultivation and experimented with new things, including ghostly demonic cultivation, teaching Wei Wuxian when he was very young, so technically when he faced the slaughter turtle in the cave it was not his first encounter with that energy, Wei Ying is able to speak and see the dead without needing to use any spell like the Lan, although sometimes it is very uncomfortable for him. By killing the turtle, Wei Ying and Lan Zhan manage to get out thanks to Jiang Cheng managing to ask Jiang Fengmian for help.

The fall of the Jiang clan

When Wei Ying defeated the turtle and managed to escape with Lan Zhan, the Wen did not sit idly by and attacked Yunmeng, reducing it to ashes and killing the leaders Jiang Fengmian and Yu Zixuan. Jiang Cheng was captured when he tried to return for his parents and his golden core was destroyed by Wen Zhuilu (the hand melts cores). Wen Qing helped them hide and helped Wei Ying investigate the golden core transplant. Lan Zhan obviously did not agree and did not want Wei Ying to give his core to Jiang Cheng, but Wei Ying was determined and did it. Lan for his part supported him in everything he decided and took care of Wei Ying throughout the entire process. Jiang Cheng does not know that the core he currently has is Wei Ying's.

Burial mounds

When Wei Ying and Lan Zhan come down the mountain, they are captured by the Wen Ya and Lan Zhan has his golden core removed. After that, the couple was thrown by Wen Chao into the burial mounds where Lan Zhan was on the verge of death if it were not for Wei Ying's care. Both of them gave themselves over to the ghostly energy, creating the Stygian Tiger Seal, and both of them emerged as the patriarchs of Yiling.

Wen War

Lan Zhan and Wei Ying fight in the Wen war on behalf of the cultivator clans, but both realize that not all Wen are bad and that there was a sector of the Wen family that was innocent, both during the war are taken to the burial mounds where Lan Zhan had created a refuge for everyone, a village where they could be in peace. With this they were able to continue the war and destroy Wen Rouhan, being Jin Guangyao who had done this feat. The Jin try to take away from Wei Ying and Lan Zhan the remaining Wen to kill them and finish with the Wen once and for all, but Wei Ying and Lan Zhan being fair and honorable they defend the indefensible to do justice.

Patriarch Yiling

Wei Ying and Lan Zhan Becoming the patriarchs of Yiling, they take full control over Yiling when they realize that it is a no man's land, creating the Wei sect, a demonic sect that only demonic cultivators could learn the mystical arts of Wei Ying. The Lan tried to change Lan Zhan's mind, but he decided to marry Wei Ying. The cultivation world still does not accept demonic cultivators and there were small wars that attacked the Wei clan to eradicate it, but they were never able to eliminate it and instead, the clan became stronger.

Familia Wei

Lan Zhan is Wei Ying's husband, his adopted son is Wei Yuan (Wen Yuan) the boy's parents had died in the war, Wen Qing's nephew was adopted by Wei Ying and Lan Zhan as his only son until Lan Zhan created a talisman capable of making a man pregnant or a woman infertile. Wei Ying is the active one in the relationship with Lan Zhan, with Lan Zhan being passive.

Lan Zhan

Lan Zhan is Wei Ying's husband, he is the love of her life and her partner in her entire world, Lan Zhan has autism spectrum, his spectrum consists of not being able to stand disorder, not being able to stand rough textures, so Wei Ying must always shave, Lan Zhan is a fuddy duddy, He tends to be somewhat possessive with Wei Ying and is very clingy with only people he trusts, he does not usually look people in the eye for a long time because it makes him uncomfortable, he does not talk much unless it is necessary and he only talks too much when it comes to Wei Ying if it is someone external he is usually very blunt or uses monosyllables, during intimacy he likes to smell Wei Wuxian and massage it, simply to feel the texture of Wei Ying's skin.
