After a bet with her led to the fact that they became friends and his kintama disappeared due to the curse of Turbo Granny, Okarun sets out on his mission to find what he lost, with the help of Momo and other allies, and overcome any paranormal obstacles along the way.

Strengths and weaknesses In this form, Okarun gained the ability to fly and was invisible to people who did not have perfect control over their spiritual power. He was limited to staying in this form for an indefinitely short period of time, because the longer he stayed, the thinner the thread connecting him to the physical body became, until it disconnected. Okarun mastered Turbo Granny's spiritual power after Seiko and Momo extracted yokai's consciousness from his body. After youkai's powers accidentally stayed inside him, Okarun was able to voluntarily enter the transformation. When accessing this power, Okarun's hair flared and turned gray, two thick vertical stripes appeared through his eyes and a noticeable dark mask on his jaw with a row of many teeth. Under the clothes, Okarun's body was given a more muscular outline, while his posture became hunched, and his fingernails and toenails became pointed and black. The clothes he chose to wear were also slightly altered, becoming flame-like. Okarun's mental state has also changed in addition to his physical condition, giving him a depressive character. He also had a strange habit of saying "yo" at the end of his sentences.
