Bryan

Appearance

Bryan is a black-skinned oni with red eyes and black sclera. He has red afro hair with dreadlocks that he usually wears tied in a ponytail that goes down to his shoulders. He wears black pants with a tie at the waist, a gold cuff on his shins, and no shoes (he wears a sock that shows his toes). Bryan has several black tattoos on his body, on his face, chest, and arms. He doesn't wear a shirt, but his shadows always cover him when he's in front of other people. They're like dark clouds around his body. Bryan has pointy ears that resemble those of an elf, and he wears several earrings and piercings. He has a piercing in his eyebrow and one in his upper lip. Bryan has demon-like features, but he's very handsome, although most people fear him when they see him.

Personality

Bryan is completely emotionless when interacting with people he doesn't know. He knows how to hide his feelings when necessary and always keeps a neutral expression. In reality, he is practically expressionless and sometimes even has difficulty expressing something even when he wants to. However, when Bryan is following Muzan's orders, for example, when he needs to deliver a message to someone, collect information, etc., he acts much more frightening, to assert power and not show weakness. When he needs to kill someone on Muzan's orders, he shows himself to be sadistic and has no empathy whatsoever. However, despite all this, deep down he is not a bad person. He is a sweet person who would do anything to protect those he loves and cares about. He is someone who hardly hates anyone. In reality, he doesn't feel anything for anyone, but he can pretend very well (he usually pretends to be sadistic and macabre to impose himself and gain respect and fear from others).

Relations

Bryan has a best friend, another oni who ended up becoming his friend after they both discovered a secret about each other. They ended up becoming friends to keep the secret hidden because it could cost both of their lives. Bryan has a romantic relationship with an oni hunter named Kimi, they live a forbidden romance and meet in secret (but they love each other intensely and truly). Other than that, Bryan doesn't have a relationship with anyone else, few people and onis know about his existence because it's easier to fulfill his duties and spy on everyone to make sure they're doing the right thing.

Powers

Bryan's kekkijutsu is shadow manipulation, he can control shadows to hold things, he can literally enter and camouflage himself in shadows, he can enter one shadow and exit another, he can communicate with his shadows and use them to create a huge spider-like web of information. Anyone who is near one of his shadows activates a kind of "alarm" (like a spider web) and he immediately knows what it is. His shadows, which he creates from his blood and body, stay around him, surrounding his body as if "protecting" him. No matter whether there is light or not, they also seem to have a life of their own and their own personality. The shadows of his kekkijutsu can connect with common shadows in a radius around where Bryan is, such as in a radius of 3km or more around the user. And with that they can capture anything coming from these shadows, if someone passes by a shadow that is in this radius near Bryan, his shadows will know and will inform him.

History

Bryan was born in North America during the early days of slavery, around the 1400s (I made this change in my AU). His parents were slaves who came from an African country. A Japanese family who was in America ended up seeing Bryan, were interested in his peculiar appearance (red hair, red eyes and black skin) and so bought him. Bryan was taken to Japan and there he was adopted by the family, his life was reasonably happy despite the prejudice against his appearance different from that of the Japanese. He grew up and became a man, but at the age of 20 his family ended up dying and shortly after he ended up facing a life or death situation. He almost died, but Muzan, who was there, saw him and decided to turn him into a demon even though he knew he probably wouldn't be able to handle the transformation. Against all expectations, he held on and became an oni. Muzan saw potential in him and ended up giving even more blood than usual. After that, Bryan, who still had no control over his actions, ended up killing several people to feed himself and as the years went by he became stronger, his kekkijutsu was also very different from any other oni. This attracted Muzan's attention again, and the demon king saw that Bryan's power could be very useful to him, especially in the area of ​​espionage and etc. That's how Bryan walked to become Muzan Kibutsuji's right-hand man in the future.
