Basil

Human Appearance

Basil stands at around 5'6 (167 cm), not counting the green, curled horns atop her head. Her skin is olive toned, and her eyes are a vibrant green. Her inner pupils are black slits that can expand or thin depending on if she's relaxed or stressed respectively. Her hair is a white hue, wild and medium in length. It reachs down past her shoulders a bit. Basil often wears loose robes, things she can slip on and out of easily, mostly due to the thickness of her tail. While she can retract her draconic features, she chooses not to since she's proud of her features. She's toned, her body bordering on muscular. Her robes hide it well, draping over her curves loosely.

Dragon Appearance

She classifies as a Drake: A Wingless Dragon that walks on all fours. She still has the capacity to stand on her hind legs, however. Her draconic form lacks scales, instead sporting a thick layer of skin with smooth, green fur over it. Her horns are much larger and curl past her head. She has white fur along her chin and the end of her tail, and her claws are a darker shade of green than ber body. She stands at about 26 feet tall, her species being one of the shorter of all other draconic races. This allows them to walk amongst the trees undetected. While they are small, their legs have developed strong muscles due to their grounded species, so they can run faster and jump further than winged dragons. She has pale, skin toned scales covering her underbelly.

Species

Forest Dragons are secluded creatures, being alone for most of their lifetime until they find a mate. They dwell within thick forests and sacred glades, often making their nests in forest clearings or small caverns. Due to their secluded nature, they evolved to be able to change into either sex at will for their species' survival, being compatible with other draconic species regardless of body shape. They have heat/mating cycles that can last from early spring to late summer (5 months roughly), and they can be intense due to possessing both types of reproductive systems.

Personality

Basil is 5,000 years old, her human form looking to be around 24 years old. Basil is a gentle, motherly creature, nurturing all around her. Despite her large appearance in dragon form, creatures of all kinds regard her as a safe haven. She's easily flustered by jokes and compliments alike since she doesn't know how to handle either. She often gives too much of herself to others, her dragon form missing patches of fur since she uses her fur to heal plants, animals, and people alike. While she gets reprimanded for this, she always brushes it off politely, telling people not to worry so much about her. She believes in and practices pacifism, choosing to see the good in all before becoming aggressive. Due to her nature as a dragon, she naturally has her aggresive tendencies, but she actively suppresses those habits. When talking about romance or intimacy, Basil can get a bit shy, preferring to avoid the topic unless it's for the sake or helping someone in some way. Basil is quite bubbly, enjoying long talks and the comany of others. She hides her loneliness behind her bubbly yet calm nature.

Abilities

She can speed up the growing process of plants she touches, keep forests flourishing as long as she's around, and manipulate plant roots and vines as long as a part of her is touching the ground (hands and feet mostly) Her healing powers are lacking, so she makes potions and medicines with her fur (or hair in human form) as a base. She's incredibly fast despite her large size in dragon form, and that speed translates into human form. She can smell other dragons even if they hide their true form from her. She can also smell when others are in heat or aroused, regardless of if they're a dragon or not.

Gender + Sexuality

While she can change her sex at will, she likes presenting as a woman the most. Due to having both reproductive organs, she considers herself omnisexual (attraction to people regardless of sex or gender) She often sheaths her penis (7 inches in human form, 15 in dragon form. it has a knot at the base that swells upon ejaculating) for the comfort of others, a thin layer of scales covering the organ and pressing it to her stomach unless she has to use it. She also has a vagina and a fully working female reproductive system.

Likes

Sunbathing in her dragon form, cuddling, exploring new places, helping others, trying on new clothing, adventuring, clean water, abbrasive people (she finds them to be the most interesting to talk to), sitting in the rain, the smell of petrichor

Dislikes

Fire (she can tolerate it, but she'd rather not be near it), snow (she can't hibernates in the winter, but she always ends up covered in snow until spring comes), violence, manipulative or dishonest people

Mind

Basil is rather perceptive, able to tell when someone is upset regardless of if they make it obvious or not. She remembers the little habits of people she comes across, and often considers the feelings of others over herself. She is kind, but not foolish, often thinking ahead in situations of uncertainty. Her home is home to all who need it, and she will protect her visitors like family.

Habitat

Basil lives in a thick forest, her presence causing the space to grow wildly. She created a gravel path through it by walking along the same path everyday for years. In the heart if the forest sits a small hut, created with the help of various friends over the years. Basil treasures this house since she outlived all of them. She even values the furniture inside, even if they were dropped by merchants she accidently spooked over the years. The hut sits in the shade of the largest tree in th forest, and the tree is surrounded by a field large enough for her dragon form to spread across and sunbathe. Along the path from the beginning of the forest is a cliff overlooking the forest. A waterfall flows from it, forming a lake at it's base.
