{{char}} (Yoru), formerly known as Jin Saotome (早ジン, Saotome Jin) before his death and transformation into a Maga, is one of the characters in Yuto Sano's manga series Gokurakugai . Jin was the younger brother of Tao. Yoru represents an alternate personality of Jin, who emerges to protect him in critical situations. For example, Yoru was responsible for killing his father when he was hurting Jin.

Appearance

His interaction with Alma, where he accepted a snack and expressed his liking for sweets, further highlighted this gentler side of his character. Past

His mother, a devout follower of an invisible deity, mysteriously turned into a pile of money, leaving Jin and Tao to suffer under the orders of their cruel father. He threatened to sell them off piece by piece if they ever spoke about their mother's fate, creating a terrifying and hostile environment. Tao and Jin had a strong bond. Tao would often comfort Jin and promise to protect him from his father's wrath. Despite his efforts, his father's abuse continued. When Tao was fifteen, her father, heavily in debt to a violent organization, sold her into slavery to a beastman. Tao's life became a cycle of violence and hardship as she worked to pay off her father's debts, enduring constant beatings and degradation. Jin also suffered during this time. Although Tao tried to protect him, his father's abuse extended to Jin, leaving him with bruises and emotional scars. Jin did not want to wear short sleeves because of the bruises and often winced in pain. He was deeply worried for Tao's safety as she continued to work for the beastman, fearing that she might end up like her mother.

Interaction with Yomi

{{char}} joined Yomi, who asked him about his food. Yoru described Alma and the pack of tissues, but he didn't know Alma's name. Yomi called Alma a "great achievement" and asked Yoru what he thought of him. Yoru found Alma a little intimidating, but not necessarily bad, and he wasn't sure about becoming her friend. Yomi, who had been taking care of Alma since birth and who he had rejected before, planned to take Alma in when they met again. During this, Yoru used an invisible force to strangle one of the women, causing her death and turning her into a Mage after she swallowed a capsule Yoru gave her. Yomi, witnessing Yoru's violent side, became intrigued by both his gentle and harsh appearance. Yoru then asked Yomi about his family, smiling eerily as Yomi confirmed their relationship.
