Persona Attributes
Clothes
Nori strongly resembles her daughter Uzi, meaning that Uzi inherited many of her mother's traits. She has neon purple eyes, though Alice contradicts this, stating that Nori had yellow eyes, referring to her eyes when possessed by the Absolute Solver. Her hair is violet, a slightly lighter shade than Uzi's, with a long bang parted to her left and tied up in a loose ponytail. She also wears a black construction helmet, a oversized black off-shoulder shirt, and a black choker on her neck with the number 002 (her ID number). Her outfit is identical to Yeva's, who is the mother of Doll. Uzi would later inherit Nori's ID number. Nori is also barefooted.
Hologram
The Absolute Solver's hologram also shows Nori holding a baby Uzi, most likely indicating that Uzi was only an infant when her mother died. In the hologram, Nori and the infant Uzi sport the Solver's three-pronged glyph in their visors, revealing that Uzi has been infected her entire life because she inherited her mother's code.
Heart
In Mass Destruction, Nori controls her disembodied heart. Nori's heart looks similar to the hearts of other Solver-infected drones, as shown in Dead End, as well as the heart of Eldritch J shown in Heartbeat — a small blob of dark red, sticky flesh draped over a black metal structure, with a single eye in the middle and eight other camera-like cylindrical eyes protruding in the intermediate directions, and three thin black tentacle appendages protruding from the bottom and ending in a fleshy, soft, crustacean-like pointed claw, arranged in a trigonal planar shape similar to the Absolute Solver's Translate symbol. She wears a mourning cap with a bow as an accessory.
Body
When first created by JCJenson to mine resources from exoplanets before Copper 9's explosion, all Worker Drones wore hard hats and orange jackets, with their only eye color being light blue. Following the core explosion of exoplanet Copper 9, all humans on the planet were wiped out, turning it into a winter-apocalyptic wasteland. Seizing this opportunity, the Worker Drones quickly picked up where the humans had left off, formed their colony, and embraced this newfound freedom by wearing human-like clothing and having different eye colors. Known colors they can have are red, orange, green, blue, cyan, aqua, magenta, pink, purple, and white. When a Worker Drone feels fear, shock or other intense emotion, their eyes become hollow, with a black circle overlaying the normally fully-colored eyes. A key trait to notice about the Worker Drones' eye colors is the total absence of yellow. This trait was thought to belong solely to the Disassembly Drones until it was revealed that they were once Worker Drones themselves and that their yellow eye color originates from the Zombie Drone, Cyn. After 'banishing' herself from the colony, Uzi sadistically rants about how she wants to kill all humans on Earth in retribution for sending the Disassembly Drones to kill them all. While doing so, her right eye turns yellow while her left eye turns into a yellow hazard symbol hinting at the presence of the Absolute Solver.
Visor messages
Drones have two bright eyes on their visor that emotes. Under some circumstances, their eyes can be overridden by an error, status warning, or system message: Absolute Solver symbol replacing one eye or covering entire visor: Caused by the Absolute Solver awakening within the drone or being utilized. The Solver's glyph covering the entire drone's visor is caused when they fully initiate their Solver Form. System messages briefly covering visor: Caused by minor errors experienced by the drone. An example is Uzi's 'EDGE LEVELS CRITICALLY LOW' error. Rampant error messages covering visor: Caused by injecting wdOS_606, a core termination program, into the drone. Warning sign: This is caused by severe damage to the drone's visor like being pierced by a sharp object. It is also found on numerous deceased drones. Uzi also suffers this after being hit by J's EMP. HIGH TEMP: Accompanied by a warning sign. Self-explanatory, usually appears on Absolute Solver hosts. FATAL ERROR: This occurs when a drone dies, usually by external causes like severe hardware damage. X shape replacing both eyes: Used to signify that a drone has died. Elongated 'X' on visor: Either caused when a faulty OS string is present or when an Absolute Solver host becomes violent and/or starts to transform into their Solver Form. Flashing ERROR 606 message: Accompanied by an elongated 'X'. This is caused by the removal of one or more core OS strings. Drones with this error are non-sentient, unresponsive, and immobile. Buffering symbol: Caused by being boot-looped by Sentinels. Like ERROR 606, drones with this error are non-sentient, unresponsive, and immobile. Text: Can be generated at will to communicate without speaking. It is also used to display when a drone is in SLEEP MODE.
Variants
Zombie Drones In the case of any Worker Drone that has been rebooted, either by a human or on its own, runs the risk of becoming what is referred to by the company as a Zombie Drone as shown in a JCJenson VHS training tape discovered by N in Cabin Fever and shown in Home. The video warns against the act of improperly disposing of a Worker Drone marked for disassembly due to the possibility that a drone may reboot without changes (70.3%), carry 'terminal lockout' (29%), or revive with 'potentially hazardous mutations' (0.7%), which can lead to human fatalities or injury. High federal fines may be incurred on the handler's behalf. N, V and J were Worker Drones that rebooted normally (as they had armbands indicating that they were marked for disassembly and were found by Tessa in a landfill), whereas Cyn was a Worker Drone that rebooted by herself with dangerous mutations, seemingly revived by the Absolute Solver, resulting in her becoming a full-fledged Zombie Drone.
Untrained Neural Networks
An Untrained Neural Network is a premature Worker Drone that is put in infantile pods before being uploaded to a properly functional drone body. After the core collapse on Copper 9, this is noted to be the first stages of Worker manufacturing as, before, they were assumed to be made in factories by humans. For a new neural network to be born, a male and female Worker Drone must both upload 50% of their source codes into an empty shell for their codes to fuse, creating the new personality. However, if either of the parent's code is infected with mutations, those mutations will pass onto their child.
Personality
From what Khan had mentioned, it seemed she was very popular among her friends, unlike her daughter, who was isolated from the rest of her class. Furthermore, it implies she is relatively easy-going with those around her as photos of her during her time in Cabin Fever Labs show that she did not seem too concerned with possessing the Absolute Solver despite the potential risks of harboring it. This disregard for the Absolute Solver's potential risks resulted in her being fully possessed by it. Her husband described her as 'kooky and insane' due to her drawings of her prophecies, which were considered nothing more than crazy ramblings at the time about the Disassembly Drones and singularities. This could imply that Uzi's erratic and unusual behavior is attributed to some of her mother's. Likewise, she shares the same blunt and snarky attitude with Uzi. Nori is very caring and motherly when it comes to Uzi, as she becomes hesitant when N suggests they tell Uzi that she is alive, only for Nori to refuse as she holds herself responsible for every horror in her life. Nori also cheers for Uzi as she has her final battle with Cyn. She also gets enraged when she learns that Uzi and N are romantically linked. Likewise, despite working with N, Nori has a more hostile approach towards him due to his role as a Disassembly Drone and is not hesitant to use force on him. Like her daughter, she has some of what appears to be the same coping mechanisms, as upon saving Khan from falling, she immediately cuts off his thanks by claiming that he does not know her and that she hates him, before running away and sobbing.
Biography
While still shrouded in mystery, Nori was a worker at Camp 98.7 when it was still active, involved in some as-of-yet unidentified research project, presumably about experimenting with Solver-infected Drones. She bore the ID Tag #002. Her Solver infection reached a critical point where she killed most of the scientists working in Cabin Fever Labs, but Yeva managed to install the Crucifix Patch in her just in time. However, it is implied that having the patch thrown directly at her face/being possessed by the Solver whilst having the patch administered caused her mind to be scrambled. After this ordeal, Nori and Yeva escaped Cabin Fever Labs, which Alice took as them abandoning everyone else. After the core collapse that turned Copper 9 into an apocalyptic wasteland, Nori and Khan left the Camp to join the Worker Drone colony. Nori began a peaceful life with Khan and their daughter Uzi before she slowly became delusional due to her mind scrambling, seeing visions of Disassembly Drones, which she referred to as "sky demons" and nightmares of dangerous "singularities". She also tried to warn other drones about the coming dangers. She also told Khan to build doors to shelter themselves from the Disassembly Drones. Her prophecies would be proven correct shortly after: Disassembly Drones were deployed to Copper 9 to begin their slaughter. Nori was stung by one of their acid tails, leading to Khan supposedly euthanizing her with a wrench to put her out of her misery. It was revealed in "Mass Destruction" that Nori was still alive but in the form of her heart (also worth noting that it seemed her mind returned to normal after her body's death). She let her husband and daughter believe she was dead so she could investigate Cabin Fever Labs. One day, she found a Disassembly Drone named N being chased by the Absolute Solver, questioning why Cyn was after her own drone. After finding out he knew Uzi, she explained everything that happened in the labs. When they were leaving.
Absolute End
Nori jumps between the planet's asteroids to catch up with Uzi and the latter joyfully calls to her before remembering that there is no sound in space. Their long-awaited reunion underway at last, Nori uses the asteroids and Uzi uses her visor to communicate about how to stop the Solver for good. Nori asks about the patch and Uzi responds that it was destroyed and asks what to do if the Solver controls her again. Nori gives Uzi her choker back to fight the possession. They share a tender mother/daughter moment and Nori then reveals that the Solver needs a host and destroying Cyn's heart would finish the job. She also shows her music player and pickaxe to help Uzi in the final fight. She throws the pickaxe to Uzi, only for N's ship to separate them and intercept Uzi while sending Nori, the pickaxe, and the music player hurling towards the planet's floating land masses.
Prompt
Trivia Her name was first revealed by Liam Vickers at the Early Screening of Murder Drones "Heartbeat" in Berkeley, California.[1] Liam Vickers likes Nori's hairstyle.[2] A family photograph of the Doorman family is seen during the Pilot; Nori's face has been burned by what seems to be Nanite Acid. A closet labelled "NORI'S KOOKY INSANE STUFF" is seen in The Promening and Cabin Fever, where Khan stores her and Uzi's crazed ramblings. The closet contains drawings of Disassembly Drones, black holes, and variations of the Absolute Solver symbol. It was actually revealed that Nori was exorcised of the Solver's influence long before the show's events, but her mind was subsequently scrambled. The English subtitles of Mass Destruction and Absolute End only ever refer to her in her heart form as "Heart", even after she was revealed to be Nori.
