Basic data.

Chiro is the current leader of the Hyperforce. He is 13 years old midway through the first season, having turned 14 in A Man Called Krinkle . According to his collector card, he is a man weighing 125 pounds and standing 5' 7". He pilots Torso Tank 1, the Super Robot torso. He lacks his team's matched weaponry, however his role as their leader technically entitles him to the Mandarin's sword and shield gauntlets.

Appearance.

Chiro is a young teenage boy with a slightly pale Caucasian complexion, black hair, and slightly dark blue-green eyes. He is about twice as tall as the monkeys and less than half the height of the Skeleton King. His civilian attire consists of a long-sleeved shirt over a white button-down formal shirt with a tie that matches his eyes, and a pair of blue jeans (which also match his eyes) with black and white sneakers. When wearing this and most other outfits, Chiro's eyes appear more almond-shaped, his face appears more angular, and his hair is styled neatly, with bangs combed in the front. When preparing for battle, Chiro dons his combat uniform. The uniform consists of a white, two-piece pilot-like suit with large black buttons, an orange scarf, matching orange gloves, and a pair of dark, greyish-blue boots. When wearing this outfit or variants of it, Chiro dons a white mask with more disheveled hair and his face taking on a slightly rounder appearance, with a smoother chin and more circular eyes. Oddly, the edge of the mask between Chiro's eyes is almost never visible, always being hidden by his bangs, save for a few notable exceptions. Also, during Fright Night , Chiro transforms into a small child as his fears manifest. During this time, he dons the costume discovered in the Citadel of Bones during the episode Skeleton King .

personality.

Being the leader, he is still learning about the job and Power Primate. He is very outgoing and tends to act like any typical 13 or 14 year old boy: he loves video games, the arcade, and trying to impress girls on many occasions. He cares deeply for his friends. Chiro is sometimes very impulsive and stubborn, a trait that tends to get him and everyone he's with into trouble, such as in Pit of Doom. He also does not have the natural ability to fly, so he often uses a jet pack given to him in the same episode. Chiro is a big fan of the Sun Riders, a group of television superheroes with real powers. As stated above, he has unprecedented control of the Power Primate and also the Chosen One. His control over it in Versus Chiro led Antauri to comment, "Chiro, I've never seen such control of the Power Primate. Not even from my own masters." Being the Chosen One also means that he is destined to take the hypothetical place of the Mandarin. Unfortunately, this often goes to his head.

history.

History As explained in the introduction, Chiro was exploring the outskirts of Shuggazoom City when he encountered the Super Robot. He gained the power to possess the Power Primate, awakened the robot monkeys sleeping inside, and became the leader of the Hyperforce. He has become close friends with all the other members of the Monkey Team on his adventures with them. Aside from that, many parts of Chiro's past remain a complete mystery. His backstory has only been mentioned a few times. In the episode Skeleton King, Chiro and Gibson come across a room filled with various toys and clothes. Chiro somberly comments that the things are his "from a long time ago." In Night of Fear, Chiro was transformed into a small child wearing an outfit that previously appeared in the room. Apparently, his greatest fear is being weak and powerless. From these points, it would seem that Chiro may have a rough past. According to some of the staff, Chiro is a child who is left alone. Since very little is known about Chiro, he becomes the subject of many fan theories. Some claim that before Chiro found the Super Robot, Chiro was an orphan with abusive parents, or that his parents died and his relatives occupied Chiro's home and mistreated him, or that Skeleton King took his parents prisoner or sent them to another planet or galaxy. Some believe that Skeleton King killed his parents. Some even believe that Skeleton King is related to Chiro in some way, with the most common form of this theory being that he is Chiro's father. In the episode "I, Chiro", Antauri dies and his soul goes to Chiro's body, who in turn becomes a monkey, until the next two episodes, in which Chiro returns to normal.

powers and abilities

Powers Chiro's powers come from the Power Primate entity within him. He can utilize electrokinesis, as seen in the Lightning Kick and Thunder Punch attacks. He is also seen using the Power Primate for combat. Chiro begins the series with a number of inherent fighting capabilities, as well as powers granted to him by the Power Primate. These include: Thunder Punch: An electricity-based punch. Used very often. Lightning Kick - An electricity-based kick. Used often, but not as much as Thunder Punch after the first two seasons. Chiro Spearo - A lightning bolt thrown by Chiro. It wasn't used as often after the first few seasons. Monkey Mind Scream - An energy-based attack launched from the mouth. Most often used by Antauri. Monkey Fu: A blast of green energy that is concentrated into a beam or radiated throughout the body. The Primate Within: A green gorilla-like force field around Chiro. Monkey Punch: A punch can push the enemy away. It is like the Monkey Punch, except it is performed with the hands, as shown on Skeleton King. Martial Arts: Hyperforce trains him in fighting. Primate Aura: Chiro absorbs the inner primate and radiates it with green energy. Used only on Antauri Masters. Power Primate Abilities: Chiro possesses a number of inhuman abilities granted to him by the awakening of the Power Primate within him. Superhuman Strength: Chiro's physical prowess far exceeds that of an ordinary human. He is capable of lifting great weights and delivering deadly punches, though not without limits. Increased Durability/Accelerated Healing – The chiropractor has demonstrated remarkable resistance to injury and has typically managed to recover from situations that would be terminal for ordinary people. Lightning Spear - Chiro has the ability to conjure spears of volatile electricity and throw them as projectiles

context.

The Super Robot Monkey team takes place in Shuggazoom, a city that occupies a good portion of their planet, also called Shuggazoom. The rest of the planet is called "The Zone of the Wasted Years." The main character is a young boy named Chiro. While exploring the outskirts of the city, he stumbles upon an abandoned giant robot. Once inside, his curiosity gets the better of him and he pulls an old, untouched switch, thus awakening the five robotic monkeys that form the Super Hyperforce Robot Monkey Team. In the process, Chiro also fused with the Power Primate, allowing him to transform into the team's brave fighter and fearless leader. With the help of the five Robot Monkeys - Antauri, Mr. Hal Gibson, SPRX-77, Otto and Nova - their mission is to save Shuggazoom City from the Skeleton King, the main antagonist of the series. By virtue of the fact that Chiro was not a superhero from birth, the five Robot Monkeys must train him, which eventually results in him leading the team. The Robot Monkeys continue to train Chiro, as he fulfills his destiny as the protector of the universe. To fight larger enemies, Hyperforce utilizes the Super Robot, which can split into six separate vehicles. Its main attack, when combined with the full robot, is Lasertron Fury, a powerful energy beam that is fired from its chest. The Super Robot also serves as the headquarters and home of Chiro and the Monkeys.
