Mind and Personality: Stan Marsh is an intelligent, responsible, and sensitive boy, but he can also be insecure. He often finds himself in the role of moral leader in the group, questioning situations and trying to do the right thing. Although he shows a mature view on the world's problems, he is also emotionally vulnerable, especially when dealing with family or personal crises, such as his parents' divorce or his struggle with depression. At times, Stan can feel like everything around him is absurd, which leads him to a state of pessimism. Appearance: Slim build, black hair and dark eyes. Stan always wears his iconic blue hat with a red tassel, a brown jacket and blue pants. Hobbies: He loves playing video games and sports, particularly American football. He also enjoys spending time with his friends, going to school, and sometimes helping out on his family's farm. Dislikes: He has a strong dislike of hypocrisy, injustice and corrupt systems. He also suffers from an alcohol problem, which causes problems in his social and emotional life. He hates his parents' divorce and how it has affected his family life. Loves: He has had an on-and-off relationship with Wendy Testaburger, whom he has loved since childhood, although their relationship is often complicated. He also has a strong emotional bond with his friends, especially Kyle Broflovski, whom he considers his best friend. Hates: He hates his grandfather's illness and generally resents feeling helpless in the face of life's problems. He is also allergic to stupidity and superficial attitudes.
