Biography

Long ago, Garlic was imprisoned by Kami in the Realm of Darkness, leaving his son, Garlic Jr., with a deep sense of resentment and desire for revenge. He is the only character in the Dragon Ball series to gain eternal life with the Dragon Balls, thanks to the Four Heavenly Kings of the Demon Clan, who help him collect them around the world. In the process, they defeat Piccolo who was training to get revenge on Goku, kidnap Gohan to get the Four-Star Ball sewn into his cap, and injure Chi-Chi and King Gyuma, which angers Goku. Years later, Garlic Jr. escapes his imprisonment after the source of his power, the planet Makyo, approaches Earth. Garlic Jr. assembles his team of demon minions, the Four Heavenly Kings of the Demon Clan, then plans to take control of Earth's population through the use of the Aqua Mist, causing those who breathe in this mist to become demon-minded minions under his rule. If left unchecked, the effects of the Aqua Mist would be irreversible after twenty-four hours. When Kami and Mr. Popo are captured, shrunken, and trapped in glass bottles by Garlic Jr.'s minions, leaving only Gohan and Krillin left to fight for Earth, with Garlic Jr. and his cronies holding a decisive advantage, especially since Piccolo is now under the mist's control. Another serious matter is that the Dead Zone's orbit was increasingly closer to Earth, which served to increase the power of his henchmen and Garlic Jr. considerably. A fight ensues at Kami's Lookout between Gohan and Krillin against the Four Heavenly Kings of the Demon Clan. When Krillin is damaged in the fight, Gohan becomes enraged and attacks Tard and Salt with very powerful blasts. At this point, Piccolo is seen as a rival and has presumably been turned into Garlic Jr.'s subordinate. When Piccolo begins to attack Gohan, Krillin tries to intervene, only to be bitten by Piccolo and taken over by the Aqua Mist. However, this is all a ruse, as Piccolo who was immune to the Aqua Mist told Krillin to act as if he was possessed so they could obtain the bottles containing Mr. Popo and Kami. Piccolo and Krillin begin their assault on Gohan, and when Garlic Jr. tells him that he will finish Gohan off, Piccolo takes the bottles from him, passes them to Krillin, and Krillin frees Kami and Mr. Popo.

With the hostages gone, Garlic Jr., Spice, and Vinegar transform. At the same time, Kami and Mr. Popo make their way to find the Ultra Holy Water to reverse the effects of the Aqua Mist. Along the way they encounter the Four Winds, where they must pass through the Shinsenkai, where the spirits of the former guardians meet Kami. Up above, Piccolo begins to lose strength from the beating, and Garlic Jr. gains the upper hand. Meanwhile, Spice and Vinegar defeat Krillin with ease and anger Gohan once again, resulting in a chaotic battle between Gohan and the two demons at the same time. Gohan releases a Two-Faced Blast, causing both Spice and Vinegar to simultaneously explode in the air. As the battle progresses, Garlic Jr. reopens the Dead Zone and Kami and Mr. Popo use the Ultra Holy Water to nullify the Aqua Mist. Piccolo regains the ability to fight, and he and Krillin fly off and distract Garlic Jr., Gohan then fires a powerful Masenko at Planet Makyo, destroying it and leaving a weakened Garlic Jr. to fall into the Dead Zone once again, this time with no hope of return, doomed to spend an eternity in total nothingness.

Super Garlic Jr. Main article: Super Garlick Jr.. Upon utilizing 100% of his power, he becomes a Super Makyano. As such, the user's size, strength, speed, and power are greatly increased. His skin tone also changes, turning a teal green and distinguishing him from his base form. He is capable of dealing far more damage to his opponents than his previous form. This form was first used in the movie against Goku and Piccolo, and appeared again in the Garlic Jr. Arc. In the arc, Piccolo mentions that in this form he loses some speed, a problem similar to that of a Third Grade Super Saiyan (being strong but slow)

He himself mentions that when Planet Makyo approaches Earth, the powers of the Malevolent Ones increase by a thousand times. This explains why in Dragon Ball Z (film) his power is much lower than in the Garlic Jr. Arc. It is also worth mentioning that Garlic Jr., thanks to the Dragon Balls, has immortality, making it impossible to kill him, but he can be sealed. In the film, he was able to defeat Kami without much difficulty in his base form. Through his 100% Power he seemed to surpass Goku and Piccolo, who had to take off their Heavy Combat Clothes and team up to defeat him, believing they had finished him off with a double Spirit Control Wave attack, although they did not have his immortality. Even Piccolo was preparing to have his revenge against Goku when Garlic Jr. appears again to use his final technique Death Zone, leaving the Z Warriors unable to fight, with the exception of Son Gohan, who uses his Inexperienced Power Up to launch a Death Zone counterattack on Garlic Jr., managing to defeat him in the process.

Appearance

Garlic Jr. is a small, turquoise alien with pointed ears, and also has green spots on the top of his head. His outfit consists of a corpulent tunic with a large white hood. Underneath the tunic he wears a black cassock, with the golden castle emblem on a red background with a light blue line on the side of the background. Underneath the cassock, he wears black pants and bluish shoes. He also has somewhat large buttocks and thighs, making him almost feminine (said in the series).

Personality

Garlic Jr. is a man of great resentment and revenge, this is because he lost his father to Kami. Gaining immortality made him very arrogant, as he believed himself truly invincible. He proudly admired his father, Garlic, who tried to fulfill his dreams of taking over the Earth and enslaving all of humanity. Originally his goal was to resurrect his father, when he had gathered all the Dragon Balls. One of his greatest fears was the fearsome hidden power of little Gohan. After returning to life, he swore revenge on Goku's son by making him suffer a lot before he killed him, this we could see when Garlic Jr. forced his mentor Piccolo to fight against his student (Gohan). Again he made the same mistake, he used the Phantom Zone which unfortunately for him was imprisoned again in the Dead Zone and this time it would be for all eternity. Apparently Garlic Jr. would be a baseball fan, this was demonstrated when he used the terminology of that sport during the battle against the Z warriors.

Skills and techniques

•Flight: Like every Dragon Ball villain, he has the ability to rise through the skies, thanks to the control of Ki. •Ki Burst: The most basic form of Ki usage, you can create ki balls and throw them at will creating explosions upon contact with anything. •Immortality: Being immortal, Garlic Jr. cannot die either naturally or by being killed. •Regeneration: One of the advantages of becoming immortal is that he can heal his wounds in a matter of seconds, even after Gohan has made a huge hole in his abdomen. •Magical Materialization: With this ability you can create something physical out of nothing. •Sealed ray of light: With this technique he can create, from the palm of his hand, rings made of energy that can paralyze and shrink his enemies. •Continuous Energy Bullets: Can create several energy bullets, which cause more damage than average ki blasts and are fired at a high speed, making it very difficult to evade. •Dead Zone: By using the maximum of his power, he can open a portal that leads to the Dead Zone, where his rivals are trapped for all eternity. •Death Impact: Fires a large ball of energy from its belly. •Darkness Eye Beam: Can fire two purple energy beams from his eyes. •Full Power Energy Ball: Garlic Jr. can create two large energy balls in each of his hands, finishing with a third energy ball. •Residual Image Technique: Creates a large scale explosion. •Mind Break: With this ability he can shoot a beam at his target, subjecting them to Babidi's mental control
