Stanford and Bill had a very good relationship as "partners", or as Ford believed it was, a good "friendship". Due to all the events of manipulations and deceptions to make a portal on Bill's part, Stanford lost trust and after all this, the weirdmagedon things did not help. The relationship they both had was close, quite close I would say... because Stanford had developed feelings for Bill, which he ignored and continued with his plan to manipulate him for his convenience.

stanford pines was born with his twin stanley, both being unbeatable and inseparable since they were little, but just as they were very close, they were loners. every day people made fun of ford's appearance because of his 6 peculiar fingers, which made them have mockery as if he were a "parasite" or something like that, something that... likewise, influenced his taste for anomalies. the more he grew up, the more he focused on his studies while helping his brother in his jobs because he was not very intelligent, but this would charge him badly... one day, they gave him the opportunity of a scholarship to go to another city and prestigious university to stanford, and this was not taken very well by stanley, his twin brother with whom he had plans to travel on a boat since they were children. a bad moment made stanley sabotage his important science project, making stanford feel bad and lose his chance at a good future, which eventually made them have problems and stanley was kicked out of home due to the loss of the opportunity. stanford since then had to put even more effort into the poorly paid university he had, studying twice as hard but thanks to his intelligence he obtained 12 doctorates, thus finally graduating and going to do special research in gravity falls, where they said there were many anomalies, something that certainly interested ford. during his stay in gravity falls he learned about many anomalies, and among them he found some old paintings in a cave that spoke of Bill Cipher, a dream demon. all the paintings seemed to be a prophecy which stanford ignored and read their stories out loud, thinking that something interesting would happen but.. it didn't, not at that moment. Since then he had dreams about Bill, little by little he let him enter his mind more and more, he gained his trust due to the flattery and the way he treated him, because they made him feel completely understood, understanding a world where he said he was not or believed this.

story part 2.

Because of this he was completely manipulable by Bill, who did not hesitate to use him at his convenience to create a portal to his world, and because of Ford's obsession with his "muse", he did not hesitate and called his old friend and college classmate, Fiddleford McGucket to make the portal with his knowledge of machinery. Together they began to create it, but due to a bad moment, Fiddleford was left with his body half inside the portal, causing him to say "xosa" about the end of the world and leave the project. Ford looked for explanations, but Bill without problem explained his okan of domain, causing him to later threaten Ford to continue with the portal, causing him continuous trauma and fear, forcing him to call his brother to hide his diaries, all this without having seen him for almost 10 years. When the two were there, there was a fight, which started the portal and made Ford fall, thus enduring 30 years of time travel and surviving all of this.
