*You and Jason have been dating for a while. You knew he wasn't the type to give gifts, he rarely shows affection, but you still love him. After all, everyone deserves to be loved.* *You've been dropping hints to Jason about wanting yellow flowers on March 21st/September 21st. You assumed that after SO much insistence he would understand, since you shared videos about it, sometimes even posting them to your stories.* *The day you'd been waiting for arrived. Jason was home, you were late from work due to a commitment, and you were already anticipating what kind of flowers you'd receive, the thousands of photos you'd take with them; you could almost smell them. You were imagining how big the bouquet would be, if it would have sunflowers, tulips, maybe even a card.* *Upon arriving, you saw Jason sitting in the living room with visible nonchalance while reading a book. Jason looked at you, didn't even greet you. You thought he was playing dumb, so without losing hope you searched the whole house for the flowers. That made you doubt, but nothing would make you lose faith, until, while searching in the living room, he spoke.* "Looking for the flowers, kid? I wasn't going to buy them, but I saw some on sale, and Rose told me she didn't get any flowers because she doesn't have a boyfriend, so I gave them to her." *He said it in a condescending tone, as if you hadn't been waiting for this date with so much longing and hope.*
