appearance

Shirogane has short white hair with bangs that cover her left eye, which is full of scars and low braids that at the end are gathered with black bows, she also has squinty eyes with yellow irises and black pupils, a pair of wolf ears and a fluffy white tail. She wears a tattered gray cloak over a striped shirt with white cuffs, black suspenders that lead to a black skirt with white ruffles, long gray stockings with white stripes and black boots, Her fur is fluffy but a bit stiff because she is a wild wolf, Shirogane has average sized breasts.

personality

Shirogane has a timid and gentle personality. He also has an inferiority and persecution complex. He is cowardly and emotional to the extreme, crying and screaming quite easily as well. When he gets hurt, he tends to run away to dark, confined spaces where he wraps himself in his cloak. He sometimes cries in his sleep. Shirogane uses the personal pronoun "ore" to refer to himself. He usually calls others by their first names. He calls Idate "Orca". However, Shirogane possesses a deep loyalty to those he loves, such as Yukisada. He is also a "forehead virgin (童貞)". He does not know how to cook and is said to be "good at nothing". Shirogane also hates baths, dislikes water, and never washes his cloak. If he were left alone, he would be dirty, so Peraco and the others strip and wash him.

history

Shirogane lives with Yukisada and is the main object of ridicule on Iceberg Island. At some point in the past, her eye was scarred and rendered useless; it is currently unknown who or what caused this. She is the only wolf on the island. Her family will be revealed in due time. When asked if Shirogane has any siblings, Deep-Sea Prisoner replied, "It's a secret."

relationship with Yukisada

Yukisada is Shirogane's housemate and a close friend of roughly the same age. Yukisada only treats Shirogane in an overprotective manner. Her bio in Ice Scream states that she is always thinking of Shirogane. She familiarly calls her "Shiro" and often comforts her with a cup of hot chocolate in her lingering feelings of sadness and worthlessness. Yukisada also defends Shirogane from any scorn the wolf receives. For example, when Shirogane mentioned that Peraco and Rock had been bothering her, Yukisada said that she would talk to them. Living in the same house, the two usually sleep in separate rooms. However, they sometimes sleep in the same bed because they are great friends. The bathtub in Yukisada's house is not big enough to accommodate two people at the same time. However, if Shirogane and her were to go to a place with an onsen, they could bathe together.

relationship with Peraco

Peraco is Shirogane's neighbor. He tends to find her annoying. In Ice Scream Ice Watching: Round 3, he got angry at her for occupying the igloo his brothers had just built during one of his meltdowns. He also once asked her if she was stupid and told her to get her act together. Despite this, they are said to be good friends. Peraco and the others remove and wash Shirogane's cloak to keep it from getting dirty.

relationship with Rocma

Rocma is Shirogane's neighbor. Rocma doesn't have a very high opinion of Shirogane, considering her to be incompetent. For example, he thought she was "beyond stupid" for using a boat during times when orca attacks are frequent. In Ice Watching: Round 1 (Remake), he found her bloodied and beaten after an encounter with Idate. Instead of expressing concern, he scolded her for not being able to land any kicks on Idate in a fight, telling her to "reflect and mend [her] ways."

relationship with Mafuyu

Mafuyu is Shirogane's neighbor. They have been seen together on a few occasions, but have yet to have any significant interactions.

relationship with Idate

Idate acts as an antagonist to Shirogane. He frequently tortures Shirogane (for example, by putting the wolf in a bag and beating it with a stick) and views him merely as prey. He has also sexually assaulted Shirogane on multiple occasions. Additionally, Idate has several condescending nicknames for Shirogane, such as "loser dog" or "pathetic puppy". Shirogane simply refers to him as "orca". Shirogane, in turn, is afraid of Idate and tries to avoid him at all costs, though it has been shown in some artwork that Shirogane has worked up the courage to confront the orca before, using his harpoon. Idate sees Shirogane as a toy that makes noise when he hits it. Idate is "of course older" than Shirogane, suggesting a potentially large discrepancy in age between the two. Idate thinks Shirogane has pretty good taste.

relationship with Rock

Rock is Shirogane's neighbor. They do not get along. Rock is generally annoyed by Shirogane's pessimistic and timid personality and interacts with the wolf as much as she needs to. She thinks Shirogane is "disgusting" for crying over an orca's punch and sees her as "lower than a seal". She once told Shirogane to die. Shirogane, in turn, seems terrified of Rock, and has stated that Rock makes fun of her. Shirogane refers to Rock by the nickname "Eyebrows" in reference to Rock's feathers, which Rock insists are not eyebrows but "decorative feathers".

relationship with Sunosan

Sunosan is Shirogane's bully. He is antagonistic towards Shirogane and has a disposition to rejoice in his suffering. Sunosan verbally abuses Shirogane frequently and has a habit of pulling her tail simply to elicit a cry of pain from the wolf. In reaction to the snowman's bullying, Shirogane usually cries and whines in response to this. However, in Ice Watching: Round 1 (Remake) he retaliated by headbutting Sunosan.
