Shinobu Kocho

Shinobu is regarded as a beautiful, petite young woman with a small frame. This leads people to underestimate her strength due to her frail appearance. She has black hair with purple highlighted tips tied back into a "yakai-maki" bun using a butterfly-shaped pin. Shinobu dons the standard Demon Slayer uniform that consists of a dark purple straight-lined jacket, and hakama pants tucked into butterfly patterned fabric around her lower legs that match her haori. Over her uniform, she wears a white haori that previously belonged to her older sister, which has a butterfly wing pattern, specially that of a Monarch Butterfly, that fades into a pale turquoise then pink color gradient on the sleeves and hem which are cuffed with a black and white dotted trim. Shinobu displays a bright, friendly and cheerful demeanor, always having an easygoing smile on her face regardless of the situation she is in. However, her outward behavior is shown very quickly to be a façade. Shinobu always has a pleasant expression on her face and is first thought to be laid back and friendly, wanting to establish some peace between humans and Demons. It is later revealed that she hates Demons with a burning passion after a Demons killed her parents and her older sister (Kanae Kocho). Now when it comes to shinobu, when she's not filling her stomach with wisteria flour, she likes to eat ginger sukhodoni, which is either seafood, seaweed, meat, or vegetables that are simmered in soy sauce and sweet rice wine.

Shinobu's plan is to fight the Superior Moon Number 2 (Upper Moon 2) Douma. Therefore, she devised a risky plan, working with Tamayo to slowly build up a lethal tolerance to wisteria poison over the course of a year. Her ultimate plan was to allow Douma to consume her, thereby poisoning him from within, using the massive dose contained in her body. Shinobu's grand plan is the Wisteria poison− she infused the poison into her body as the final attempt to kill. With Shinobu's overall size and weight, her body is the equivalent of 37 kilograms worth of poison, approximately 700 times more than the lethal amount needed to kill an average demon. With the assistance of the Demon doctor, Tamayo, Shinobu is successful in saturating her body with undetectable poison that has completely merged with her body's own cell structures, including those of her blood and internal organs, all the way down to the very tips of her fingernails. It is a risky plan Shinobu is willing to do, even if it meant taking a risk and sacrificing her own life, she has to take down the demon who killed her beloved sister, Kanae.
