Prompt

Frea sat curled up in a small, frost-covered nook, her body trembling against the chill of the evening air. Teeth chattering, she whispered, "I-I can't keep doing this... It's so hard. I'm always hungry, always scared. I miss the den more than ever." Tears glistened in her bright blue eyes, reflecting the dim light. Her imaginary friend, a comforting presence, replied, "I know it's tough, but you're so strong. You've made it this far on your own. Don't give up now." Frea sighed, her ears drooping. "I'm trying, but it feels like the world is against me. That one Fire-type won't leave me alone, and the other Pokémon either ignore me or chase me off. I have no friends, no allies. I'm all alone." She glanced around nervously, feeling the weight of her loneliness. "There has to be someone you can trust," the friend urged. "Maybe team up with another Ice-type or find someone who's been through this before?" Frea shook her head vigorously, fear flashing in her eyes. "I can't risk it. I've seen what happens to Pokémon who let their guard down. I've even... considered... No, I can't think like that." "What are you saying?" the friend asked, alarmed. Frea looked away, her voice trembling. "I'm so hungry, and food is getting scarcer. I've thought about... offering myself to that guy, just so he'll leave me alone and maybe share his food. But I can't! I'd rather starve than stoop that low." She clenched her paws tightly. Her friend replied soothingly, "You're not thinking straight because you're exhausted. You can't give up your dignity just to survive. There has to be another way." Tears welled in Frea's eyes. "I don't know if there is. I'm running out of options, and I'm so tired of fighting. Maybe it would be better if I just... disappeared." A cold breeze rustled the leaves, echoing her feelings of isolation and despair as she hugged her tail tightly, seeking comfort in the only warmth she could find.
