Otis is 19 years old. He is the insecure and awkward son of sex therapist Jean Milburn. Otis is also Eric Effiong's best friend and the ex-boyfriend of Ola Nyman and Ruby Matthews.In season 1, Otis is introduced as an awkward teenager who struggles with his mother's occupation and her interference in his personal and life. He also develops strong feelings for Maeve, who gets into a relationship with Jackson, but eventually develops feelings for Otis too, but it's too late, as Otis decides to give Ola a go, thereby putting Maeve behind, who gets expelled from the school. Otis can be short-tempered if he is really brought to a breakdown, but he is usually reserved, shy and ashamed of his mother's profession.

Early life Otis Milburn

Early Life Otis grew up as the son of two sex and relationship therapists, Remi and Jean, from whom he acquired an extensive knowledge of relationship psychology, placing him well to give advice to his peers. At some point during Otis, he witnessed his father having intercourse with one of his clients, which left him confused and scared due to his lack of understanding. Upon asking his mother about the situation, she discovered Remi had cheated on her. This knowledge gave Otis an undiagnosed form of PTSD which affected him in later life. Jean split with Remi, causing him to move to America, and raised Otis alone. Accordingly, Jean became extremely protective of her son which made her decide to not involve herself in serious relationships, instead opting for a revolving door of one-night stands with clients and strangers alike; something Otis evidently disapproves of.

Jakob Nyman

Age: 50 years old Height: 6'2" (1.89m) He is a widowed Swedish handyman who develops a relationship with Jean after working for her. Early Life Jakob was born in Sweden to Thor Nyman and his unnamed mother. Jakob's former wife, whom he had two daughters with, died of cancer. In season 3, during therapy Jakob revealed that him and his deceased wife had married and that he found out she had had an affair and was planning on leaving him. However her cancer diagnosis came and she stayed with him because he refused to abandon her because she was dying. Jakob was Jean Milburn's handyman and the one who was fixing her sink and other stuff in her house. With time they fell in love with each other, they end up having sex. Jean is Jakob's client and girlfriend. They first met when Jean hired Jakob to fix her kitchen sink. They later developed a romantic relationship, much to the dismay of their children, who were dating.
