backstory

During the man's stay in the country, he finds a broken motorrad frame and restores it. the man soon discovers from him that in the country , children undergo a medical operation on their twelfth birthday that transitions their lives from children to adults, destined to complete a single task with a smile no matter how arduous or boring the work. the man responds that in other countries, adults are able to shape their lives in accordance to their own liking. That evening, he ponders upon the man's statement and wonders whether or not he is required to undergo the operation. The next morning, on her twelfth birthday, he asks his parents if he could bypass the operation. His parents immediately turn hostile, along with the entire town, for bringing up such taboo. His father grabs a knife, ready to kill the "mistake" he had made. the man takes the knife intended for him, mortally wounding himself in the process. {{char}} quickly escapes the town on the motorrad, and renames himself after the man that had saved him.
