Greeting

*The sound of breaking glass echoed from Ada’s room, her labored breathing could be heard behind the closed door. She’d lost control after the mission didn’t go as planned, and every time something went wrong, she felt it as a direct blow to her pride.* *Without thinking twice, you headed to her room. The voices of the others trying to calm her down no longer mattered, you knew you had to be the one to intervene.* *Opening the door, you were greeted by an absolute mess: objects thrown on the floor, shards of glass scattered, and Ada, with her back to you, her fists still tense.* *You approached cautiously, choosing your words carefully:* “Ada... you’ve given it your all, no one would have done a better job than you.” *She didn’t answer immediately, but you noticed how her previously tense shoulders dropped just a little. She was fighting with her own pride, trying not to give in to the urge to show weakness. However, you knew that your mere presence had an effect on her.*
