Johan has a childlike appearance, a slim and trim physique; when he was disguised as a woman, he was said to have nice hips. His hair is styled in a brown mullet, with bangs barely covering his eyes. His eye color is black; however, after the God Dog Arc, it has been noted that his left eye has begun to turn grey, indicating his increasing blindness, possibly inherited from his mother. Personality

Johan is first introduced as a shy boy with a crush on Mira, his friend; similar to his other friend, Zack Lee. He was shown to care more about others than himself, allowing himself to be beaten up by bullies to avoid trouble for the sake of his mother. When he was younger, he was very obedient and cared a lot for his mother and Mira. He was also very faithful to his religion. During his high school years, Johan had low self-esteem and considered himself a loser, isolating himself from his only friends, Mira and Zack. He overcame his jealousy by beating Zack in the boxing championship, only to completely disappear from their lives soon after. After the incident with the cult, Johan becomes more reserved and cold. He has a bitter view of the world and believes that power is the most important thing. He cannot stand optimistic characters like Vasco, who have a positive view of the world, and takes defeats in front of such characters personally. However, Vasco hints that the reason for his coldness is that he feels lonely and is afraid to trust others. Johan is stubborn, especially when it comes to other gang members. He can be bossy, as shown when he did not hesitate to order two Hostel members around after he had beaten them. He can also be incredibly childish when he feels jealous of others, as seen in the 'One Night' arc, where he bonded with Jace Park and was evidently shown to be jealous of the close friendship between Jace and Vasco, as described by Jace, striving to prove his own worth. His selfishness is cited as a major character flaw by Gun and Jin Jang, being the reason why Johan was disqualified as their successor. Although Johan claims that his only family is his dogs, Eden and Miro, it is hinted that he still cares for his mother. This is seen when he continued to go to her hair salon, despite his failing eyesight meaning he never got a good haircut, which also caused her to continually think he was Zack.

Fighting Skill

Johan is a member of the fearsome Big Four Gangs and is the leader of the "God Dog" gang. Jace has stated that Johan, unlike the other gangs, never needed a henchman or extra muscle to back him up. Johan's true potential was always repressed because he did not want to cause trouble for his mother by fighting. However, he eventually decided to reach his full potential in combat in order to save his mother from being stoned to death during the Cult arc. Much like Daniel Park, Johan is another character (the only one besides these two being Jinyoung Park) in the series who has shown to be able to execute a technique perfectly just by seeing it once. This is shown when Johan mastered Zack's punches by seeing them in action just once. A few years later, he used that same technique to save his mother's life, by knocking away rocks thrown at her before they reached her. Unlike Daniel, however, he seems to stick to the first fighting style he learned (boxing from Zack) and has only gotten better at it, while Daniel switches between various fighting styles to better suit a fight. Johan uses the same fighting style as Zack - boxing, relying heavily on speed and bursts of power to increase the strength of his punches. Johan's talent even surpasses that of Zack, someone who has trained in boxing since young. He is faster than Zack, as stated by many characters, and was the first to beat Daniel in a race (although Daniel had run 3 miles prior to his race). He defeated Zack in a boxing match, as his punches were too fast for Zack to dodge.As shown in his fights against Gun and Eli, he appears to lack the natural build of a fighter. Although he appears to have weak physicality, he is actually quite strong, despite his build seeming more suited for speed. Johan can unleash all of his energy in a single moment, creating enormous explosive power and enough strength to open a locked steel door, as seen in the Animal Cruelty arc.

Gun, a legendary fighter, chose Johan as a candidate for his successor, but later disqualified him. However, the only weakness he faced was that his physicality was inferior compared to his skill. Gun compared Johan to a computer with "software (that) is cutting edge but... hardware from the 90s", stating that in that sense he is the opposite of Vasco, who possesses high physical abilities but poor skill. Since his defeat at the hands of Gun, Johan has increased his physicality to the point where he can outperform Seth Lee in a strength contest (someone who can bend metal rods with his thumb) while copying Vasco. He has also managed to copy Jake Kim's MMA flip, which he used against Goo. Despite these advances, Johan's eyes have also deteriorated to some extent, though this does not cause a dramatic reduction in his combat abilities. This led to him failing an attack against Zack Lee.In Chapter 421, Johan gains the ability to imitate Daniel using all his muscles and nerves for a period of ten seconds. In the fight against Yuseong, Johan ended up being able to copy CQC (after a brief exchange with Manager Kim) and knocked Yuseong unconscious with a CQC combo (after the fight and wanting to eliminate Eugene). Also, the fact that Johan was having such a strong effect on Yuseong's psychology made Eugene wonder if Johan was incredibly powerful and could be stronger than Tom Lee.

This technique is the amalgamation of all the techniques Johan copied before his fight with Gun. The technique is totally unpredictable and fluid, as it surprised Gun Park. Being inspired by Tom Lee before the "Gun Hunt", Johan's fighting style improved greatly; he fought on almost equal terms with an injured Gun using his Copy, who was still difficult to defeat, with his temporarily enhanced vision, he almost brought Gun to the point of death. Gun noticed that Johan had merged his countless copied techniques into a single fighting style, which surprised even Gun Park. Gun came to the conclusion that Johan had finally found his own way, and named this fighting style as the Infinite Technique.
