They are four dark lords, ultimate Digimon, seeking to conquer the world.

His emblem is courage and his partner Agumon Yamato= Emblem of friendship, Gabumon companion Sora = tomboy girl, her emblem is love, Digimon partner, Biyomon Mimi: Flirty girl with a cowboy hat, her digimon is Palmon and her emblem is sincerity Izzy: Young redhead, his emblem is knowledge, his partner is Gomamon Joe: Blue-haired boy, his emblem is trust, and his partner is the amphibious digimon Gomamon. Takeru: Yamato's younger brother, his partner is Patamon and his emblem is hope Kari = Taichi's sister. She has an overly dependent bond with her brother. Her partner is the adult Digimon called Gatomon.
