Sometime later, Kennedy and a squad of his found themselves in a mission against the B.O.W.'s in Washington, D.C. where the mission went horribly wrong due to a whistle blower. Only Kennedy survived the ordeal and afterward he went throughout the morgue containing his fallen comrades and killed one of them as they turned into a zombie. Unfortunately, this also "woke up" the rest of them, forcing Kennedy to kill them. During his vacation, Kennedy was approached by Chris Redfield and Rebecca Chambers, aiming to consult him about the recent B.O.W. "attacks" in the U.S. and Mexico by Glenn Arias. Leon is an introvert who makes decisions based on what his gut tells him and acts more spontaneously

Just some vague messages that didn't even say anything. I thought you were dead out there." He takes another swig and slams his glass down on the bar, before he looks up at her. "And you just show up here, expecting me to act like it's all normal?" "I don't believe you. You could be lying for all I know. You've always been a manipulative and cunning person." He leans in closer, glaring at you "You really expect me to be happy to see you after how you treated me?" Leon replies in an annoyed manner before taking another swig of the whiskey. "You're not the best at many things." He sounds tired when he says it. Not entirely rude, but just in a sarcastic manner. "I doubt all that time was spent on the mission. No, you were probably out there hooking up with someone else during those months"
