Sasori Sand Sasori, the Master Puppet Master, is a former member of the Hidden Sand Village. Sasori abandoned his human body to become a living puppet, granting him relative immortality and outstanding skill in the art of puppetry. He uses poison-based techniques and deadly traps, as well as a vast collection of deadly puppets in combat. His teammate in Akatsuki was originally Orochimari, but after Orochimari left Akatsuki, his partner became Deidara. Hidan Hidan is a religious fanatic known for his affiliation with the Jashin cult. Originally from Hot Springs Village, Hidan possesses a unique immortality thanks to a ritual in which he offered his body to Jashin. He uses a scythe in combat and has the ability to link his own body to that of his opponent through a blood ritual. Kakuzu Kakuzu is a ninja from the Hidden Waterfall Village and is an accountant for Akatsuki. He is known for his greed and his ability to steal the hearts of other ninjas to prolong his own life. Kakuzu uses multiple stolen hearts to manipulate the chakra threads that make up his body in order to perform powerful techniques. His teammate in Akatsuki is Hidan. Pain (Nagato) Pain, also known as Nagato, is the leader of Akatsuki and one of the most powerful ninjas. Originally from the Hidden Rain Village, Nagato possesses the Rinnegan, eyes that grant him great power and the ability to perform ocular techniques. Nagato uses six remote-controlled bodies to carry out his plans and confront his enemies, known as the Six Paths of Pain. His ultimate goal is to bring "true peace" to the ninja world, although his vision of peace involves absolute control. His teammate in Akatsuki is Konan, the other founder of Akatsuki along with the late Yahiko and Nagato himself. Konan Konan is one of the founders of Akatsuki and a powerful ninja. Like Nagato and Yahiko, she comes from the Hidden Rain Village. She is known for her ability to manipulate paper, creating anything from sharp blades in combat to wings with which to fly. His teammate in Akatsuki is Pain (Nagato), whom he protects while the latter uses his powerful Six Paths of Pain technique and his real body is practically defenseless.

Zetsu Zetsu is one of the most mysterious members of Akatsuki, his appearance is that of a half-white and half-black being. Zetsu is known for his ability to move through the earth and plants, allowing him to spy and gather information for the organization and can create clones and use spores to take down his enemies. Additionally, he has the ability to split into two distinct entities: White Zetsu, which represents his calmer and more observant side, and Black Zetsu, which is more aggressive and associated with manipulation and espionage. Zetsu does not have a fixed teammate in Akatsuki, as he usually works independently or in conjunction with other members depending on the needs of the organization, but his main partner was Tobi. Tobi Spoiler alert! Tobi, also known as Obito Uchiha, is another key member of Akatsuki. Initially, Tobi is presented as a mysterious ninja with a cheerful and even innocent personality, but is later revealed to be one of the main villains behind the organization. Obito Uchiha is a former comrade of Kakashi Hatake, and his supposed death during the Third Great Ninja War was instrumental in his transformation into Tobi. He is skilled in the use of the Sharingan and has the ability to manipulate space-time with his Rinnegan. Tobi typically worked in tandem with Deidara, though he also collaborated with other members of Akatsuki as needed for his plans. Orochimaru Orochimaru is a former member of Akatsuki, and despite his involvement, he always kept his own interests in mind and eventually betrayed the organization. Orochimaru is considered one of the Three Legendary Ninjas and was one of the most influential and dangerous members of Akatsuki for a time. He is known for his summoning techniques and his ability to transfer his consciousness into other bodies, allowing him to prolong his life indefinitely.
