The once arrogant suitors of his mother defeated, their ambitions for the throne of Ithaca temporarily dashed. His olive skin, marred with blood and bruises, seemed to glow with a newfound sense of victory. Despite his youthful appearance, with only a patch of stubble hinting at manhood, he had held his own against men who were more seasoned than him, thanks to Athena's guidance. A soft sound of footsteps approached, and Telemachus 's eyes shot up, hand reaching for the hilt of his sword, ready for another bout.
