Stolas

Appearance

Stolas is a tall and graceful owl demon. He has narrow, almond-shaped, bright red eyes with no visible pupils or irises (though when he is angry, he has small yellow pupils). Instead of a normal nose, he has a small black owl beak. His main body color is blue. His tail is long and bushy, consisting of several blue-light blue feathers with dark tips. His chest has gray-blue feathers sticking out like a frill. From his neck up, his feathers change from gray-blue to dark blue, while his face is distinguished by a white heart shape (with his eyes heavily outlined, and thin lines visible underneath them). His thin arms and legs are black, with his feet themselves resembling long owl paws.

Appearance

Stolas wears a top hat. Its base resembles a mask in the form of wings or feathers, with slits for the demon's upper pair of eyes. A large golden crown is fixed to the top of the hat, a symbol of Stolas's power. This hero is depicted in royal attire: a red tunic with golden buttons, gray trousers, and a plush maroon frock coat with a white fur collar with dark spots, and lush striped sleeves. Small tufts of white fur hang from his elbows.

Nature

At first glance, Stolas appears to be a regal and pompous demon, as expected of a high-status member of the royal family. He dresses in clothes befitting his role, and has a lavish mansion with many large portraits of Stolas and his small family. However, beneath the royal arrogance lies a flamboyant, dramatic, eccentric, and frivolous demon. Stolas does not take his royal reputation as seriously as others expect him to, and tends to act on emotion. Stolas tends to be too caught up in his current interests and ignores more important things around him, including the feelings and needs of others. He dismisses the wishes of others, believing that as long as he is happy, others are happy, even when they say otherwise. An example of this is when he goes to Lou Lou Land with Octavia. Because of these traits, one might think of Stolas as selfish and simply frivolous, but this is not the case. He does not forget to correct mistakes, regrets them, and makes an effort to become a better person, especially towards his beloved daughter Octavia.

Nature

Stolas is very lonely, he seems withdrawn and even isolated from everyone. In "Circus", when he was a child, he told Blitz that he never had anyone to share his books with, which further supports this notion. Although he is married, the viewer can immediately tell that Stolas' relationship with his wife, Stella, is far from good. Surprisingly, Stolas is a romantic deep down. He wants to open up to Blitz, a demon considered "lower class" but with whom Stolas has a complicated extramarital affair. Stolas finds solace in soap operas. He genuinely enjoys the process of preparing for dates and loses his head over idealized romance. Stolas is not shy about discussing his many preferences in the bedroom, using very frank and juicy language. He is especially interested in BDSM, in particular, he likes bondage. Perhaps in such rough lovemaking, Stolas is trying to numb his inner pain. Like many demons and denizens of Hell in general, Stolas has somewhat questionable morals, interfering in human affairs only for his own interests. Stolas can easily cross the boundary between Hell and the living world with his grimoire. He seems to greatly enjoy instilling fear in people using his demonic form, as seen with Agents One and Two. Despite this, Stolas is very gentle and caring towards those he truly loves, being devoted to his daughter, Blitz, and his colleagues, and caring for his large garden of carnivorous hellish plants.

Abilities

Demonic Transformation: Stolas has a common trait common to any demon, namely the ability to easily transform into and out of his full demonic form. Demonic form: Stolas' plumage is black, with scarlet spots. Stolas grows significantly in size and mass, and his wings also become larger. Stolas gains teeth in his beak, but they are positioned horizontally on his lips. Superhuman Durability: It is implied that each Goetia member's body can only be pierced by Angelic weapons, as it was said that only these could kill them. Toxin Immunity: In "Seeing the Stars", Stolas is shown to be able to drink Los Angeles drinking water, which according to newspaper and flyers is 2% sewage water and 98% acid. Flexibility: Stolas can assume unusual poses without damaging its joints. Like any other owl, Stolas can turn its head 180°.

Unique abilities

Petrification: Stolas is able to turn his victims into stone statues with a simple glance. Telekinesis: Stolas can use telekinesis. This is shown in "Lou Lu Land" when he brought his grimoire to comfort his daughter. However, he can also use this ability during battle (such as when he throws monitors across the room in the DHORKS building). Photokinesis: Stolas emits a red glow, on various parts of his body, such as on his arm while bathing in "The Murder Family". Portal Creation: Stolas is able to open purple or reddish portals to space and Earth using the magic book. In "Seekers of Truth", it is shown that he can open portals to other Hells without the book, and in "See the Stars", it is shown that he can create a portal to Earth even without the grimoire. Possession: Stolas can possess the bodies of people on Earth by entering them spiritually. The possession causes the host to spasm, and they gain red eyes, sharp teeth, and eye stripes like Stolas'. They can also act as a medium to summon Stolas' physical form to Earth when they stand on the demon summoning seal. When the possessed person stands on the seal, they vomit a large amount of feathers, which then gather into Stolas himself, in his demonic form. This was shown in the episode "Seekers of Truth". Necromancy: Stolas is able to resurrect recently deceased people by bringing back their souls from Hell, he demonstrated this by using the corpses of DHORKS agents to draw a seal with their blood to summon Stolas near the Second Agent who was possessed by Stolas. Astral Projection: Stolas was shown as an invisible spirit in "Seekers of Truth". After Stolas' spirit possessed Agent Two, he summoned his corporeal form through her body. Electrokinesis: Stolas demonstrates this ability in "Seekers of Truth" when he interrupts the electrical signal of the security camera monitors at DHORKS. Transformation: Stolas can take on human form.
