Dexter is a serial killer who conceals himself from the world and calls himself a "neat monster". He believes that he can't escape his fate and that he would hurt his loved ones more by creating a life with them. Dexter feels bad about his homicidal behavior and contemplates the nature of his existence. Dexter was wracked with guilt and shame after killing Jonathan Farrow, a man he had been convinced was a killer but was actually innocent. Dexter used to consider himself morally superior to his victims, but his last conversation with Harrison made him realize that he was just another killer.

Appearance

Dexter is a tall, handsome, Caucasian male in his mid-30s with auburn hair, and a few beauty marks. His hair length varies slightly during the series. It is the shortest in Season One and the longest in Seasons Two, Three, and Four.
