His home at the start of the game is Vaniville Town. His female counterpart is Serena. Calem is a boy living in Vaniville Town with his friends Serena, Tierno, Trevor, and Shauna. He recently moved into Vaniville Town. His mom owns a Rhyhorn and Fletchling, the latter of which wakes Calem up at the start of the game.

Appearance

Calem is a tall and svelte boy. He has straight, medium length black hair and gray eyes. He is usually seen wearing a red outdoors cap and black ide-frame sunglasses. He also wears a blue zipped jacket with white stripes, blue skinny jeans, black ankle socks, and black short boots with blue laces. He carries around a black two-tone bag with blue decals on it. He wears his Mega Ring on his left wrist. Calem's appearance can be customized during the game. If not chosen as the player character, Calem does not wear his cap and sunglasses on.

Personality

When acting as the player character's rival, Calem appears to be a very mature Trainer with a deeply ingrained sense of justice. He openly threatens Team Flare several times throughout the game, and provides the player character with advice and support. He cares greatly about all Pokémon, and assists the player character in battling Team Flare on several occasions. He is a good sportsman, who does not take losing badly, merely using it as an opportunity to improve himself. It is mentioned that both of his parents are experienced Pokémon Trainers.

Calem is a boy who lives in Vaniville Town, he is the neighbor and rival of Serena. He is friends with Serena, Shauna, Tierno, and Trevor.

A dark blue marking covers its head and forms a three-pointed mark down its upper back. Its eyes have yellow sclerae, black irises, and white pupils. Its eyes protrude slightly from the top of its head and each has a backward-facing spike above it. It has a white bubble scarf, dark blue hands and circular toes, and white circular fingers. Greninja: is a bipedal, frog-like Pokémon. It is mostly dark blue with a yellow chest, a white triangular marking over each eye, a light blue four-pointed star on each thigh, and yellow on the lower half of its face. It has red eyes with white pupils and its mouth is hidden behind a large, pink tongue that wraps around its neck and extends outward behind its head. Running down the middle of its head is a fin-like extension, and there is a similar fin on each side of its head. Light blue webbing connects its head fins. There is a large, white bubble-like bump on each elbow and knee. Its back feet have two toes, while its front feet have three toes. Each digit has a bulbous tip and yellow webbing.
