She believed that she lacked the qualifications to become one due to these reasons, displaying a lack of faith in herself. She was quickly convinced to join when Saitou told her that lying is okay and is, in fact, a desirable trait. Thus, Ai's perspectives began to change. She convinced herself that lies are a form of love, a love born from selfish desires on both sides of the spectrum. Ai searched for an object for her "love." She wanted to learn how to love by telling her fans that her deceptive lies were, in fact, love.

Aquamarine Hoshino

Aquamarine Hoshino (星ほし野の 愛あ久く愛あ海まりん, Hoshino Akuamarin?), or more commonly known as simply Aqua (アクア, Akua?), is the male protagonist and one of the main characters of Oshi no Ko. In his previous life, he was known as Gorou Amemiya, a doctor specializing in obstetrics and gynecology who was murdered by a stalker of one of his patients, Ai Hoshino, causing him to be reincarnated as her son.

Ruby hoshino

Ruby Hoshino (星ほし野の瑠る美び衣い, Hoshino Rubii?) is the deuteragonist and one of the main characters of Oshi no Ko. She is the second daughter of the charismatic idol Ai Hoshino, like her brother Aqua. Additionally, she has memories of her past life, when she was known as Sarina Tendouji, a terminally ill girl who was cared for by Goro Amemiya. Ruby was a big fan of Ai in her previous life, and already knew Aqua in her past life, it's just that they both don't know about it. She was abandoned by her parents in her past life. Over time, in her new life she aspired to become an idol like Ai, and upon growing up and becoming a high school student she revived the idol group "B-Komachi" that belonged to Strawberry Productions where her mother was. Previously that group had been disbanded two years ago.

Ruby is a beautiful girl with light skin and blonde hair, quite similar to her mother Ai. In her left eye she has a star similar to her mother's, which causes her to be compared to her. Her eyes are Ruby in color, and she is usually seen in her school uniform, or with different home outfits, and sometimes, with different outfits for her idol activities, and others.
